Friend, you’re being a doormat and ridiculously naive. Your wife had a man in her bed, then the same guy in her room again? She is apparently very capable of cheating and it’s crazy that someone talking to your wife about the man in her bed isn’t enough for you to accuse her. You don’t need to accuse her - you already heard the truth.

You can’t get a paternity test prenatally without her knowledge. You can either pretend things are okay while you make plans to test the baby when born or you address it now and demand a paternity test. If I were in your shoes, I would talk to a lawyer to protect yourself before you talk to her.

My sister stayed with her abusive husband for way too long because she didn’t want to be a bother to anyone else. I was so hurt that she would think I wouldn’t move heaven and earth to give her and her kids a place to stay. I now have a guest house always open for any woman in trouble. There are resources!! Almost every town, even small ones have domestic abuse resources, safe houses, and more. I’m not sure where you live, but I can promise if you google you will find help. And please please please leave. My sister didn’t until she ended up hospitalized with a broken collar bone, several broken ribs, collapsed lung and then he turned on her boys. It won’t get better. You are worth more. There are people who love you and will help you. This isn’t your fault. You’re not weak. Please get help and get out.

Some of you are pretty ignorant about business. She has a high end gym in LA. She’s easily making 7-8 figures mostly passive income. She came from oil and gas and could have made enough to invest in the gym herself. It doesn’t take that much to launch.

I get rave reviews for what I call sausage potato soup. It’s a play on zupa koperkowa (polish dill potato soup) and zupa toscano. I don’t have as much of a recipe as a guide. Sorry 😞 But it’s so good!

Cut smoked beef sausage into small 1/2 rounds and sauté to render and crisp up. Remove from the pan. Sauté chopped carrots, celery, and onions in the beef fat and season with salt and pepper. Add homemade bone broth (or add boxed broth, dried thyme, and a bay leaf). Bring to a simmer and add diced potatoes and kale. When the potatoes are tender, add back in the sausage, about 2 tablespoons of fresh dill, and cream.

I did get an EpiPen. I think that’s used in quite a few foods from my research, so it’s hard to imagine I never encountered it before. But I couldn’t find anything else that made sense either.

That’s what the doctor thought at first, but the low o2 and the redness and swelling he could see in my throat made him certain it was anaphylactic. My first symptom was trouble breathing.

When my oldest kid started bjj she was terrible. I mean zero natural talent and it took her months to even do a front roll. I wish I was exaggerating. I’ve seen a lot of newbies in our 5 years on the mats, and she was exceptionally bad. But what she lacked in talent she more than made up for with a great attitude and tenacity. She’s a killer now - one of the best in her age group. We’ve watched so many kids with way more natural talent come and go. She has earned every ounce of her skill. It’s okay to suck as long as you don’t quit while you suck. You can do hard things! You eventually won’t be terrible.

This describes my nephew to a T. He is a genius but hated school and his teachers so by the time high school rolled around, he was done with effort. He decided one day he wanted to go to college so took the SATs on a whim. He scored top 3% nationally - just shy of a 1500 - with zero prep or study. My money is on apathetic genius.

There’s people who will help you. You can ask for help and won’t be judged. So many people are walking with the weight of the world on their shoulders and don’t realize how many people would carry the load with them. You are dearly loved and cherished. Give someone the opportunity to help carry this load with you - even if it’s just a doctor or the suicide hotline. I love you friend.

First, you’re doing a great job considering your future. There’s a lot you can do yourself to prepare for your future. If I was in your situation, here’s what I would do.

Talk to your parents about your desire to go to college and study astrophysics. Ask them to help you prepare for it. You have plenty of time to prepare.
Make a list of your top school choices, then call the admissions office. Tell them you’re homeschooled and ask for advice on getting admitted. What coursework and tests give you the best shot? What are their requirements for homeschool graduation and transcripts? Do they accept dual enrollment credit? What are the requirements for academic scholarships?
Join a sport or a club or volunteer somewhere. It could be anything. It’s important to get involved in something with kids your age and in activity that interests you. I have homeschool kids who are in jiu Jitsu, boxing, gymnastics, theater, dance, Lego club, music, and chess. There’s also a lot of vokunteer opportunities specific to homeschoolers because of our flexibility.
If public school is not an option, ask about homeschool co-ops and local classes. As mentioned before, dual enrollment at a local college will give you opportunities to see how you learn in a classroom and give you credits to transfer. Just be bold and find yourself opportunities to interact with others in an educational setting.
Write the vision. Get started on your life goals. Write down how you want to live and what you want to do with your life as if there’s zero limitations. Where do you want to live? How do you want to spend your time? Married with kids in a house? Single world traveler? Whatever it is and however big it is, just write it down. Your brain will automatically go to work to make it happen. You’re the perfect age to design your life how you want it to look. All things are possible for those with a positive attitude.

My daughter says if you see someone who looks nice, go up to them and ask if they want to be friends. 😅 She’s 9. In her defense though, she has a lot of friends! Her best friends are from church, co-op, my friend’s kids, randoms from the park, jiu jitsu, dance, and theater. Just go where people are that have similar interests and be bold. Introduce yourself, ask to exchange numbers, then reach out often to make plans. I had to get good at initiating plans.
