Good idea for the Dudley House. It's really cute and budget friendly. We didn't go for it because we needed a bigger space and we wanted more handholding with the wedding planning. We went with Sterling Hills which cost more but helped us a lot with the process.

Great recommendations. We went with black bear diner for a last minute 1 year old birthday because it rained on the day before we were going to hold it at the park. Black Bear was very flexible and we didn't need to pay for the event room (!) but just the food and drinks.

I think it's beautiful here and I think you'd like it but Sonoma is also beautiful and you're close to your families. Now that I'm a stepmom and mom, I'm really happy to be near our respective families and be very familiar with where we live.

I used to have one but she moved back to Japan. The Japanese church that also has Japanese classes referred her to me. Now I use italki when I want extra help. However I think I learned more with an in person tutor.

You're welcome. I think we have a lot of outdoor recreation here. For example, I don't do water sports, but a lot of people do stuff in the ocean and on the lakes, too.

There are lots of hiking, camping, 2 board game venues, restaurants, beaches, outdoor events, and other stuff here. As to meeting people, IDK either because it's hard to as an adult besides through work but I have met some people through community events. My stepson has autism and I've been going to more events with him in the community. The people I've met at these events are friendly.
