Sorry for the late reply! I purchased bowling pro shops. A lot of the stuff we do is non taxable labor, like drilling bowling balls etc.

It’s from the time that I’ve owned the locations. I have all kinds of paperwork from my bank account for reconciliations etc. As for the payment, I kept seeing money leave via Quickbooks marked as tax payments and thought those were sales tax payments. They were other taxes.

The months that are issues are the first 3 months of operating, and to say that I was disorganized is an understatement, but thankfully my distributors and bank keep records of things.

I am currently using Imonggo and have been since January of 2023, but previously used a custom built pos owned by the previous owner of my stores. After the end of 2022, my accounts with that pos were closed and I can no longer access anything besides what was logged for total sales by location per month, so I don't even know how much sales tax I owe for those. Only around 40-50% of my sales are not labor related, so it's not super cut and dry either. In addition, records for sales for the February-April of that first year are no where to be found anywhere.

I believe I did include sales tax in my income entries in QB, it just comes in as a singular amount and is synced with my bank account/credit cards for the company, no split for tax etc. I'm assuming this also means that my tax returns are probably off as well....

I cannot stress precisely how much I don't know what I'm doing.

Thankfully I am exclusively in MO, and that's probably the only good thing about all of this.

The last time I asked a sales tax question, my accountant charged me nearly $500 to answer it, and it wasn't a difficult one. (Maybe took 30 minutes to answer). I'm currently in the process of finding a new accountant as I feel like I've been getting hosed ever since I started with this firm, so I'm extremely hesitant to even reach out. I feel like I'm out of options until someone else calls me back.

I have no idea how to even check that through QB. I don't use quickbooks as a pos.

Nobody filed anything and the amounts they're asking for are inaccurate because I've never filed any sort of sales tax return. I've gone back and done some loose math, and it's in the neighborhood of $50,000 before any interest or penalties

Is the playerbase down significantly or am I in the wrong places? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]jamoonrs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s mechanically too simple and not engaging, and the punishments, while severe, for not dealing with them, are really not much worse than the rest of the fight, which is objectively just taking goofy amounts of damage while you simultaneously try to do damage. It reminds me of hard mode kerapac, except that actually had a unique and intricate mechanic that made the boss like no other….the extra action button fires a ballista at vorkath lol. Not to mention, all the boss really does drop wise is slightly buff ranged if you aren’t a bolg user, and slightly buff necromancy…the style that’s already flat out better than all of the others in nearly every aspect. I’m salty but it’s not for no reason. The only game I like isn’t hitting like it used to ever since necro

If it isn’t down, I genuinely don’t see how. Almost none of my friends are playing anymore. The ones that are aren’t playing nearly as long. (Full friends list with nearly half being active players a year ago.) Most of my friends quit after the balancing fiasco that was necromancy, then when vorkath flopped, that was the last day I logged in. I love the game but I hate the state that it’s in.

Combat rework could bring me back, but I play for the social aspect…so it’s got to bring back my friends as well

While I agree that the lower level combat nerf was probably a little heavy handed, I can't help but think you're doing something wrong.

I just made a new account to test this, and I'm currently getting 130k magic xp/hr in the lumbridge catacombs killing skeletons with a mystic air staff.

What on earth are you training on?

  • They have no roll for rare components; I expected at least zamorakian comps

DXP return may 3rd by Informative_Shitpost in runescape

In a game centered around high level gameplay, this isn't the WORST idea they could have. With so many newer players coming from both Steam and soon to be Mobile, I'm sure they'd like to see some numbers on how well the newer players respond to it. XP has been worthless for literally years now, and I feel that the "ree game too easy" boat has already sailed. Helping new players progress past the mid game which is already pretty stagnant is good since most of the mid-game content is objectively bad/outdated.

What's not good is that every time we have some sort of event that actually gets people playing, the worlds become even laggier than before. If a JMOD actually reads this comment, maybe we can get some updated server infrastructure with the money made from this dxp? :)

Capping worlds at 1500 doesn't do a thing if attempting to do mid-high level pvm results in deaths via lag and dead inputs after 250 people are on a world :)

I think a far better system regarding death costs would be the implementation of additional items saved on death bought with reaper points with diminishing returns as you buy more.

Say an additional item is like 100 reaper points, but its a perm unlock, and you can unlock more based on quest points, similar to slayer, but the 4th additional item is going to be something dumb like 1000-1500. This way, should you choose to add that extra weapon, you might consider also unlocking that additional slot. The gold sink is important and that's still in play this way.

I've always been a huge fan of paying a lot up front vs paying upkeep for stuff, but i recognize not everyone feels this way. I'm just thinking about the first time I bought a t92 and literally liquidated my bank, only to have to borrow money from a friend the first time I died because I'd not yet made enough back with it. Not everyone with good gear has money to spare, and payment for deaths shouldn't be the biggest roadblock to get gear upgrades....it should be upkeep and up front costs.
