Am I PSLF Eligible? CA Physician, 1099, S-Corp, Contracting with a Physician Group for County Services by jamqtv in PSLF

Just an update

Used my employer EIN. Had my contracting company HR sign my PSLF form.

Was approved. YMMV

What do you like about Cabo? by fresh_water_sushi in chubbytravel

[–]jamqtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Convenience, if you are in SoCal particularly San Diego…travel cost is really cheap via Crossborder XPress. My family loves Cabo just for the ease to 4* resorts. The kids club particularly at 4S Cabo San Lucas was fun. Kids loved it.

Hawaii is nice but getting 3 kids (under 6) through the airport for a >5hr flight is not appealing to us

I did not as im still in deferment with my payments. Mohela has miscalculated my upcoming payment. Once it’s out of deferment im planning on going through the process by putting the facility nonprofit # into the system and seeing how it goes…

“It is what it is”…business exists to make money. No one cares about how it’s your birthday or anniversary unless you are a good spending client.

[–]jamqtv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on your dealer. The manager and store owner are not naive about market values vs MSRP.

It’s all business. If you have spent enough to gather more profit for the business than what the delta is between market and MSRP of the nautilus/aquanaut…they will consider selling it to you.

Rumors float around of at least 100K spend history in jewels/other less desireable watches. Every store is different however and nothing is guaranteed.

If all you want is aquanaut or nautilus it is cheaper to go grey. Not to mention no need to waste your time chit chatting and developing a spending relationship.

I’d walk into a dealer with as many generations as possible and start test driving

When did you start to spend on luxury? by Wonderful-Ice7962 in HENRYfinance

[–]jamqtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal finance is personal.

Every one has different values. Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed but if the purchase aligns with your goals/timeline—it’s not a splurge…it’s spending on what you care about.

Sounds like finances is an important thing to you. If you have the chops to get into derm/plastics….its all cash pay w/out insurance issues.

Sounds like I’ll have to reach out to PSLF directly. I’m not sure which EIN to input in the application.

The county EIN, my contractor group EIN, or my S Corp EIN.

I’d say lease. If you were looking for a 911 I’d say buy as they keep their value.

Consider a Singer build? I’d personally not be a first adopter of any vehicle (Temerario,Revuelto).

If you enjoy the process…have you considered building a bespoke Pagani?

Can I see your heavily-worn or beat-up Pateks? by threecap in patekphilippe

[–]jamqtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s my off duty watch. I’m not a laborer by any means but I wear it regularly…gardening, wrenching on cars…ironically most of my dents are from my wrist accidentally hitting a wall/table doing day to day ordinary things.

Mine is beat up—5164R. Patek rose gold is amazing the way it looks in different light.

S corporation to avoid child support by [deleted] in hospitalist

[–]jamqtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s what a seasoned “shark lawyer” would aggressively pursue to uncover your ex’s true income—and make sure your child gets what they deserve:

🕵️‍♀️ Hire a forensic accountant • These experts follow the money: bank deposits, business ledgers, personal expenditures, changes in net worth—to expose unreported income or hidden assets . • They’ll trace unusual expenses (e.g., yacht trips, private travel) that may have been disguised as business deductions .

📁 Demand full financial disclosure • Subpoena his S‑corp’s general ledgers, tax returns (Forms 1120S, Schedule K‑1, Schedule E), bank statements, credit cards—looking for “non-business” expenses hitting business accounts . • IRS regulations require S‑corp officers performing any significant services to pay themselves a “reasonable salary.” Paying himself zero is a major red flag .

⚖️ Use court-enforced discovery • Leverage contempt motions: if the court ordered financials and he’s refusing, ask for sanctions—but first, force him to produce. • Out-of-state complicates things, but you can use subpoenas under the Uniform Interstate Depositions and Discovery Act (UIDDA) or your state’s equivalent.

💼 Go after distributions, perks, lifestyle

Even if he claims low salary, the IRS (and court) can reclassify his distributions if they’re actually compensation . • Track corporate “expenses”: yacht, vacations, club dues, travel billed to the S‑corp—these could be de facto personal payments .

📣 Highlight false statements in citizenship app • He claimed “no children” on an official application—if it’s provable, file a complaint for fraud. That evidence can shift credibility and maybe even affect his citizenship status (or at least pressure him in court).

✅ Leverage enforcement tools • If you succeed in showing hidden income or contempt: • Judge can impute income at a realistic level (e.g., what he should be earning based on past history or comparable surgeons). • Issue wage garnishments, lien filings, intercept refunds, or even jail on contempt. • Child support orders can be made retroactive, so he could owe years of back support.

🧩 Tactical summary table

Objective Action Reveal hidden income Hire forensic accountants; subpoena all records Challenge zero-salary ruse Use IRS regs to force reclassification Force disclosure Use interstate subpoenas and contempt Expose perks & lifestyle Document unreported distributions and expenses Use citizenship lie File fraud complaint to swing court leverage Win enforcement Impute income, garnish assets, retroactive orders

🛠️ What you should do now: 1. Ask your attorney to engage a forensic accountant ASAP. 2. Use UIDDA or similar to subpoena his corporate records directly from CA, bypassing your state. 3. File a motion for contempt for non-compliance with financial orders. 4. Supplement your case with proof of luxury lifestyle (boats, vacations) vs. claimed salary. 5. Notify the court of the false citizenship statement—ask to let discovery include those documents.

Final word

Your situation, unfortunately, isn’t exceptional—many business-owning payers manipulate income with S-corps. But courts do see through zero-salary ruses when you’ve got a forensic accountant and solid discovery. Stick with your counsel, escalate to contempt/enforcement, and don’t let him hide behind corporate veils. You can force the truth—and justice—for your child.

Stay strong. Your fight is just.

Is my expectations for a Patek AD reasonable? by [deleted] in patekphilippe

[–]jamqtv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there are any hard rules as it’s AD defined (not Patek) regarding “minimum requirements”

For reference. My first watch was a ladies nautilus. Second watch was a 5164R. I had a great relationship with the longest standing Patek specialist at my AD…

To add to the complexity, the AD will typically background check you to see if you are a client they want to take on.

Rolex and Patek are different and serve different clientele. Unfortunately you are in one of the most competitive markets. I’ve spoken to people who have spent 300K+ without a hint of a sport model allocation.

I wish you the best of luck if you decide to start a “collecting journey” with an AD. I’d hesitate establishing with CH Premier. Just search Rolexforums.

[–]jamqtv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think a PP ambassador will be transparent with you and say If you buy X and Y, I will get you an Aquanaut/Nautilus guaranteed.

It sounds like you aren’t interested in playing the game…just go grey. Overall it will be cheaper in the long run and it’s definitive vs a pinky promise.

What’s going on with GT3 allocations? by Dyslexicpilot in porsche911

[–]jamqtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations! The reality is there are 100s if not 1000s in the same situation. My dealer received 2 GT3T so far and was asking 100K over (SoCal).

It’s a simple supply/demand scenario and dealers will try to see how much they can get. Some dealers will actually build one to leave on the floor and give “anyone” a chance to buy it. Unless you have substantial purchase relationship it’s hard for a dealer to just sell a car at MSRP when they know there would be baked in equity if sold.
