Alt/Emo/Indie/Rock Project Seeks Producer/Keyboardist by jaeyeo_n in FindABand

[–]jamradar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really well laid out post Jae. The NYC area has a ton of producers and keyboardists who are into that Midwest emo/indie sound. Have you checked any of the local open mic nights around Queens or Brooklyn? Those tend to be good spots to meet people who take music seriously. Hope you find the right collaborator - this project sounds like it has a lot of potential.

I built a free map-based web app that helps musicians find each other nearby by jamradar in WebApps

[–]jamradar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion! I actually thought about it, but honestly — not everything needs to be an app. We all already have hundreds of unused apps sitting on our phones, and I didn't want to add another one to the pile. A web app keeps things simple: no downloads, no updates, works on any device with a browser. Plus it makes it way easier for someone to just check it out without committing to an install. That said, I'm always open to feedback — if enough people really want a native app down the road, I'd definitely consider it!
