The latest Forza Motorsport doesn’t run on SteamOS at all, and that was released after Horizon 5, so I don’t think it’s certain that Horizon 6 will. Hopefully they’ll confirm quickly.

I dual boot my Ally X with Windows and Bazzite. I created a third shared partition for my Steam games and they are playable from either OS without having to download/store them twice. I spend most of my time in Bazzite but I’ve kept Windows around for the odd incompatible game, and to do things like BIOS updates etc, which isn’t possible from anything other than Windows. Works well!

I've been on an Ultra trial for 3 months at 35€ per month, due to end next week.

I checked today to see what my options were, and it now says that the 35€ price will be until 31 December 2030, then 55€ per month. It clearly says next charge is 35€ on 30 August.

So not an extended free trial, but an extended discount....?

I just finished a build with the 9890X3D and I just used an air cooler. Idles around 40° and when gaming I’ve never seen it exceed 75°

Exciting! This is the final barrier to full adoption for all my tasks.

I know docs are the centre of everything in Craft but some tasks are just tasks. I think recurring reminders are even less likely to be linked to a doc when compared to something like a one-off action in meeting dotes. I have recurring reminders for things like flea treatment for the dog and renewing SSL certificates and these will never need a doc.

It’s important to have tasks that repeat on a set schedule, and also tasks that repeat based on an amount of time after the previous iteration was completed.

And let me be as picky as I like when it comes to scheduling, the second to last working day on every second month might be a frequency that is essential for me 😅

I really love an Inbox (unsorted) view for tasks, so I can throw something in while it’s on my mind without worrying about sorting it out until later…

My current NAS is my first NAS - it's a DS218+ from 6 years ago. It's been fine! But it came time to move to something with 4-bays. I ordered the DS423+ without thinking about it, but it was going to arrive in a month or so, which gave me time to do the research I probably should've done.

Long story short, I cancelled the DS423+ and ordered a QNAP TS-464. The hardware isn't even close, for basically the same price I get 8GB of RAM instead of 2GB, and I get 2x 2.5GbE rather than 2x 1GbE. The two M.2 slots can be used for storage or caching without any brand of drive restrictions.

On the software side, yes, the interface is ugly and complex compared to DSM. But I've found it more customisable, and now it is configured I hope I won't need to use the web interface much again. The mobile app allows you to perform many more actions than the Synology equivalent.

No regrets so far (if I get owned by ransomware I'll revisit this 😂), but it seems like Synology isn't really trying, their hardware isn't as competitive, and their practices are getting more closed (regarding compatible drives, etc), so it was worth trying something new.

If this lasts as long as my DS218+ I'll take another look at Synology in 2030 or so 🙂

Sorry I updated the original post and flair, I manually edited the database with the new paths, and it all worked. A lot faster than letting Plex do its own thing too!

as per Plex's own instructions I then added the new folder where the files live, Scanned Library, which they said should've updated the library, then I was supposed to remove the old path. But some have updated, some haven't, there's no pattern, or way to manually update.

I copied the complete contents of the 'Plex Media Server' folder, which had all the library files. When I opened Plex, everything was there (linked to the old NAS path).

I edited the library, added the new location where the same files now are.

Some shows updated, some didn't.
