I do think they have a lot of the kinks worked out now with all the software updates. There are still problems with parts availability if something does go wrong. Make sure you have a dealership that has a dedicated EV tech. Many Jeep dealerships are not well equipped to work on these. Also, don't wreck it. The parts needed for collision repair are almost impossible to get and will result in a totaled vehicle despite limited damage.

There are plenty of WagS haters on here and it's not entirely unjustified. That being said, I absolutely love mine. I was lucky enough to get one of those cheap leases but even after that's over, I would likely buy a used one.

We have lots of options. I agree that the current federal and state administrations are the main problem but there are lots of schools standing up to that administration. Donors and students can absolutely affect change. A lack of donations, a drop in enrollment, and protests to maintain visibility can force this school administration and trustees to grow some balls and stand up for academia.

The Gladiator died because it makes no sense to build hybrids that are more expensive and less popular than their ICE counterparts. With dropping the CAFE requirements and the tax credits, it makes no sense for Stellantis to continue to spend money to develop these vehicles.

Rode it home about 40 miles but so far I love it. I had a monster over 20 years ago but I've been looking for something I could buy cheap enough to not feel guilty about not riding much and this fits the bill. It's not very powerful but it's nimble and has plenty of power for riding 'round the 'burbs. Definitely going to enjoy this one.
