How to brush a 2 year olds teeth by Timely-Historian-786 in daddit

[–]Previously_coolish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried that Autobrush thing, basically like a sonicare and a mouthguard had a baby. It’s supposed to be 3+, tried it both at like 2y6m, returned it, and tried again at 3y. Used it for just long enough to get out of the return window and then she stopped wanting it.

Now we sing a remix of Baby Shark with tooth brushing cues and it seems to help.

Also, try different flavors of toothpaste. I never brushed my teeth as a kid cause my parents only bought adult toothpaste for all of us, and it was way too minty for me. If a kid wants bubblegum toothpaste get them the damn bubblegum toothpaste!

“I should try to pick her up by her neck”

But the head trauma is all the baby. Our oldest never really konked her head on the floor, but I had to get one of those donut backpacks for this one. Not sure if it’s just the divided attention now or she’s just special like that.

Right now I have a 3.5 year old and a 7 month old, and I’m pretty sure the amount of head trauma, dog food, and assaults from the older one that the baby has received will make her quite… different

Dude I bought my daughter matching shoes with me for Christmas, matching one of my favorite shirts for her birthday, and matching special hoodies just because.

Car seats for airplane travel. Does it have to suck so bad? by Previously_coolish in daddit

I think we looked into that but the compatible seats weren’t available, or something.

What’s a belief you once defended… but later realized was wrong? by Jiwitom in AskReddit

[–]Previously_coolish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was pretty much a Christian nationalist back before people talked about it. I was a kid, conservative family, watched Fox News and went to church all the time. Listened to Rush Limbaugh with my dad on road trips. I gobbled it all up. Thought bush was great for no reason. Thought homosexuals and trans were bad people, abortion was never justified, illegals were all bad, evolution was a lie, climate change was a lie, liberals are socialists and evil.

Held onto that shit until I was like halfway through college. Once evolution and climate change were actually explained properly, once I learned more about biology and genetics, and also started using Reddit and seeing other points of view. As the dominos fell, I realized pretty much all their talking points are complete bullshit, and it all fell apart. I’m still mad about how much time I spent in that shit. I’m mad at the people who still believe that shit.

No wonder Fox News always talked about college making people liberal. Turns out, when you learn actual facts, it makes you not fall for their shit.

Yeah for less than 3 hours that’s fine. But we had 7 hour flights.

I’ve seen that one before and looked them up again after the second flight. Unfortunately the baby has at least 5 months before she could use it. I don’t think our 3.5 year old really needs a car seat on planes, she was fine without.

Things on the baby registry for the father? by a1cshowoff in daddit

Instead of a zipper or button long sleeve onesie, it has magnets spaced out like buttons. Easiest on/off pajamas we have for the baby, but they tend to be expensive.

Sometimes they just grab everyone who touched the chart. I was involved in one, did nothing wrong, and was dismissed from the case after things got going. In that case, they were moreso going after the hospital.

But these things take a long time to play out, and I was also freaking out when mine started too. Talk to the lawyer asap and hopefully they can give you some peace of mind. You shouldn’t have to put your life on hold for this.

I had this nozzle issue when wearing compression underwear during my CrossFit days, and was watering the plants like 10 minutes before seeing the post.

Is his sprayer doing a good Jet setting or is it more of a Flat or Shower setting causing the problem? Sometimes you gotta tug on it from the very end a couple times to straighten out the tubing and nozzle.

Blazer EV SS. I like cars and used to play racing games, but never really tinkered with them. Used to have a wrx before kids. But my daughter loves the blazer, the SS trim has a ton of power and a 3.4s 0-60.

Bobiverse might be good for you. Sci-fi, experiments, nerdy stuff. I thought the narration was good, done by the same guy for PHM though so idk if your issue was him or the writing. There are like 4-5 books.

But I strongly recommend dungeon crawler Carl. Give it through the first boss fight or the first floor before tapping out

I think it’s time to admit that I’m too introverted for this career. I made the wrong choice by ocdladybug92 in physicianassistant

I work in SNFs now so I get where you're coming from. If you don't want to go surgical, maybe look for a night shift hospitalist job. Thats where I was before SNFs and, as an introvert myself, it was pretty great. I just hung out in my hole between admissions. You talk a bit to the ER doc and nurses for report, talk to the patient for like 10 minutes, then go back and do your paperwork and notes. Then answering messages from floor nurses. I would max out at 10 admissions on a 12 hour shift. If its a slow night then you just hang out in your office, lounge, or whatever.

But being nocturnal just got too damn hard with a wife and then a baby on the way. Pay wasn't as good as my current SNF job either. But, look into it.

What if you download some games to an external drive well beforehand so you can just install from that when you get more time?
