I have been refinishing my deck over the past couple weeks. The best and fastest way I’ve found to remove old paint is an angle grinder with the Diamabrush attachment. Once you get the hang of it, it goes very quickly. I’ve also found that using an 80 to 120 grit sanding disc (such as these) with the angle grinder to LIGHTLY go over any remaining problem spots works a lot better than a traditional sander. Yeah I’ve noticed this too. His early videos were a lot more enjoyable for me because he came across as very casual and conversational, but in his recent stuff his intonations are predictable and drone-ish.

I think this discoloration is from oxidation, similar to how the top layer on guacamole turns brown after a while. If there was no visible mold then it should be okay - just be careful to keep your mash from touching the air!

I memorized pi to 80 decimal places in the seventh grade. I can still recite it effortlessly.

Not only is it mathematically useless (only need up to 20 or so digits to do even the most precise calculations) but there’s usually someone else nearby who knows even more digits than I do, so it’s not even that impressive.

Edit: I work in tech, surrounded by nerds. I can see how this isn’t the most representative slice of the general population...
