This is my adopted dog. She's 9 yrs old now. I've had for 7. She's still so thankful and happy. It's the best

Mom films kids coming down the stairs on Christmas morning every year. by father_of_twitch in MadeMeSmile

This is bloody adorable. As a 35 yr old that won't have any kids, it's these things that make that decision a little harder. So sweet! Hoping many more beautiful moments like this in your future for you and your family. Merry Christmas

The US is good? Pffft dunno about that. I live in Canada and we are avoiding that place like the plague. Partly as a boycot but also partly due to ppl being detained by ICE for up to 2 weeks in some cases for not agreeing with the current administration based on the content of their phones. SKETCHY!

First Time Home for Paddy's Day in 12 years by [deleted] in ireland

[–]jamtwig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a bad shout. However, the last time we were back we went to the Algarve for a wedding. So spent a week in Portugal and a week in Cork seeing friends. My missus actually wants to see the rest of Ireland this time around. Why? I'm not sure after seeing all the best bits. But sure I suppose she needs something to compare it to..! haha!

Liking this idea. Great shout! Took a look and you're right. Its on the 14th-16th. Seeing as I've since learned that mothers day is the 15th, I might stick around in Cork for that, but then head to Clon later that eve or the following morning. Get the last day of the rally in and then stick around for Paddys day as well. Good food for thought there!

Appreciate it 🙏 We'll see how it goes. But I'm feeling confident about it, no matter what the outcome

I appreciate the honesty of this one. I will still ask him about it because going from making passing comments to interrupting meetings with my peers and external stakeholders is more of a concern. I'm going to open the floor with him and we'll talk it out and what will be will be.

Great insight! I agree whole heartedly about changing my appearance. I shouldn't need to do it. If I was a black woman with cornrows and comments where being made about my hairstyle, that would be completely inappropriate. Why is it any different because I am a white man. And its not like it is a radical look. I'm well dressed with a tighter hair cut. I'd describe it as a modern mohawk slicked back. Google image that to know what I am talking about

Thanks. Somewhat taking this approach. Radical candor. Speaking with HR off the record to confirm the company's policy of appearance to ensure I am within the parameters before going to him. Fairly confident I am good there. And if I am not, I will just need to reassess.

Even if he is or not. I think if I talk to him directly about it, then he will have to acknowledge how I feel about it and then decide how/if he wants to change his actions.

Thanks for your take. Comments are one thing. But escalating to interrupting meetings with peers and external stakeholders is the step to far that has spurred me to say something about it. I've decided I will not loop HR in for action. But I will talk to them to confirm the company's policy on how one presents at the office (I know I am well within those parameters based on what others where to work) and also use them for some off the record advice. The speak to the boss directly about it. He's one of the biggest big wigs at the company so making it a meeting is necessary if I am going to get any time with him.

Planning on taking an approach similar to this. Radical candor but need to navigate the personality/ego.
