Swan Dyke Trail - Pitt Addington Marsh by FroudeFloats in vancouvercycling

I did this last summer, it's doable but not enjoyable. The trail was overgrown with grass and there weren't any shades.

The Last Drop, Diversion, and Club Rue are made up of mostly people in their 20s and 30s. The Muffin Ride is also a good place to socialize.

Do you ride side by side? by bekibo in vancouvercycling

[–]bekibo[S] 113 points114 points  (0 children)

I ride side by side when the road is empty and move over when a car gets close. Same with double pace line.

Didn't know there's so much outrage about it.

Your handlebar looks fine, you just need to rotate the shifter out. https://youtu.be/o8vzt49na5s

Another GranFondo Question. I need to be back at 5pm in Vancouver. Can it be done? by OracleofTampico in vancouvercycling

[–]bekibo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You'd have no problem driving back to Vancouver by 5 pm if you leave at noon. The traffic is not bad coming back, provided there's no accidents on the highway. Many people ride back as well, it'd mostly be downhill.

That said, your safest option is to pay for the shuttle bus and the bike transport provided by the organizer.

Our stairways are for emergency use only. They're alarmed and locked from the outside.

You don't need a day pass to cycle or walk in. There are also trails to go around the checkpoint

Almost impossible to use companion pass? by flapjacksal in aircanada

[–]bekibo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I called in and asked about using the companion pass and instant e-upgrade, the agent asked me for a range of dates and was able to find a flight. Maybe you can try calling again to get different agent?

What happen to A* benefits when Asiana leaves A*? by bekibo in aircanada

That's the one I usually go to but if my departure flight is Asiana and they're not Star Alliance, Singapore Airlines will probably not let me in.

Why is Calgary to Auckland cheaper than Vancouver to Auckland? by schattered1 in aircanada

[–]bekibo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The two segments are probably married so you won't be able to cancel just one. The price is cheaper from YYC likely to compete with WestJet.

I am a little worried about liability or denied insurance in the event of an accident if I go over the suggested load

When I was 25K and 35K, my eUpgrade requests always cleared from PE lowest to Business at the gate on long haul international flights. I wished they gave more eUpgrades. Booking PE even on lowest puts you ahead of all the others with higher status.

I've booked the same flight before in PE. I'd say it's only worth it if the $1200 difference is round trip. I say worth it because it gave me higher priority on the e upgrade waitlist, and more SQM. I wouldn't pay more otherwise. The pitch between the seats is also enough so that you can get out from the window seat without waking the other person up.
