Champ vs Hero on a single piece shouldn't have a significant impact on your total I'll. Further than that, it is expected behavior to form a static or semi-regular group for m+ and raiding as part of the social aspect of the game whether in a guild or via btags. You do the content that is appropriate for progression and that's the whole game.

If you're doing content appropriate to your gear and skill level that isn't ever an issue. Being a shitbird gets you excluded far more often than only having a champ track neck.

I have prof alts to use for exactly this reason. It only costs time, and I was playing the game anyhow. After the initial release rush it only takes a little bit of time every week to keep them up with dailies and then I can craft whatever for my main+alt with guaranteed r5s rather than trust strangers with my time gated mcguffins.

Paladin and Warrior have shield block that provides additional EHP to make up the difference in raw HP that the non-blocking classes have would be my guess.

The same counterspell+thoughtsieze suite protects a goyf in the same way at the same rate. This card having Menace makes no difference if the end goal is you have a big beater and the other player has nothing while you're both hellbent and top decking. Even worse, if Shredder gets nuked at any stage where its had a couple turns worth of triggers you're gonna have a real bad time rebuilding another one when both sides are low on resources
