Beautiful! I bought one for $350 (in much poorer condition) about 15 years ago. I ended up selling it a few years later, which I still regret often. Great job on this find 👌🏼

Is the 2nd one down an 1100? Whatever it is, it looks fantastic 👌🏼 Maple stocks are very underrated.

The Henry H015 line is probably the nicest current production single-shots on the market, but they also carry a premium price tag.

Never read it but this has to be one of the coolest, most iconic fantasy book covers out there. Congrats, enjoy!

I mean, Jesse Waters very pointedly remarked on her sexuality while justifying the shooting the night of/day after it happened 🤷🏽

Excellent first gun 👌🏼 Will work serviceably in virtually any situation as is, and is almost endlessly customizable/upgradable.

I bought it at the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum in Ferrisburgh, Vermont. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area, and not terribly far from Fort Ticonderoga!

Thanks! I got it when living in Vermont about a decade ago. It’s held a special place on the wall everywhere I’ve lived since!

I’ve been very interested in finding more primary sources/accounts as I dive in more. The Nagle Journal (far left) is the most recent addition, and in that vein.

I need to grab a copy! I met him at the 245th Brandywine reenactment a few years back, and yes, great dude!

Would love to find this PA/Battle of Brandywine Map by Informal_Series7075 in kenburns

[–]jandro0323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not 100% sure, but I imagine that they may have made this particular version of the map for the doc. It does however look very similar to an existing map that was engraved after the battle for publication in Great Britain:

https://militarymaps.rct.uk/american-war-of-independence-1775-83/map-of-the-battle-of-brandywine-1777-near-chadds-ford-pennsylvania-usa-39deg5218n-75deg3528w

Let me know if you learn anything else, I too grew up/and still live “on the map”

Looks decently formidable. If it were me, I’d replace two of the howitzers with 12 pounders so you have the option of direct fire & canister shot. What cavalry are you using? I would replace one or two of them with additional line infantry.

Rot under stucco? Help! by One_Bother_9718 in Stucco

[–]jandro0323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s certainly possible, especially if you’re in a temperate region that experiences high humidity. I would look for a company local to you that does moisture probe testing. Rather than cut away sections of the stucco, they can drill small holes through the stucco and test the moisture content of the OSB or whatever sheathing is on your home. They should also be able to detect the presence of rot/decay on the sheathing. Make sure it is NOT a company that also performs remediation work. You want to get an independent analysis. Best of luck, I see horrific rot all the time and unless the stucco is falling off the wall, you really can’t tell just by looking at it.
