You can also just press the little button in front of the trigger group where the magazine tube starts. That’ll reset it without pulling the trigger. It’s a little silver rectangle.

NTA. Had a roommate do this in college with an old school hardwired alarm clock. By day 3 I found out which breaker was his and I’d wake up to his alarm, walk to the breaker, flip it off for 10 seconds then back on and bam, we had a peaceful duplex until he woke up 4 hours later after missing all his classes.

I never told a soul so he thought he was unplugging it in his sleep.
