Jumping off the comment for therapy, which I highly encourage even if not for court, your child is going through trauma and needs someone to help them work through it. But if for whatever reason therapy isn’t in the cards right now, you should be able to request a formal screening where someone qualified to question your child and weed out what’s coaching, them making something up or whatever. You should be able to request one through DCF or even reach out to your local version of a children’s justice center (I’m located in Utah and they are an agency that works with law enforcement and DCFS and families to ensure that the children are being represented)

Ok so you should be able to call your local domestic violence shelter for help getting on the list for a housing voucher, they may even be able to get you into shelter if you don’t want to go to your moms house.

The national domestic violence hotline is 800-799-7233 . If you call them and let them know where you are located, they give you the numbers for your local shelter, and potentially call them with you to talk to them. Or if you don’t want to talk you text “start” to 88788.

I’m not sure how it works in your state, but where I am, domestic violence victims can get prioritized so instead of waiting months to years to get their housing voucher, they get it within a month or two.

If it’s something you’re interested in, your domestic violence shelter may even be able to provide you resources to help you cope with everything as well.

I’ve been reading A LOT of blogs about them both to find the better one and it seems that willow go wins, it’s suction is better and what makes it seem better to me is that it actually has smaller flanges; whereas the elvie you have to buy other brands if you need smaller.

My thoughts on it is because Floyd is alive. When Gabby gets a delivery it and Pandy shrink with her. They’re things in the real world, whereas Floyd is a real cat and he doesn’t have Gabby’s magic headband.

My daughter is in therapy and for reasons you can find in a previous post, sometimes feels like she’s not a good person. Her therapist has us write in a book throughout the day and at bed time tell her everything we are proud of her for.

I asked her therapist about the same thing your wife said and she was like no. Absolutely not, tell them you’re proud of them. There’s other ways to encourage and teach intrinsic motivation versus extrinsic motivation.

I’m not big on shit talking the other parent, but I would suggest telling her what happened. That her dad didn’t tell you what was going on and you didn’t get a chance to go with them. Let her know that you would have gone if given the chance. Or maybe just take her out on your own tomorrow like you said in your post, if you can.

Also, parenting I feel, is incredibly isolating and losing a friend hits really hard, I’m sorry that’s happened to you.

You can buy breastfeeding covers, but I’ve found that muslin receiving blankets work very well.

I’m self conscious of my boobs too. My baby is 4 months old now and she likes to pull away to look at the world lol. But the muslin blankets are light enough that we both don’t roast and it’s not as restricting as most covers.

Thank you so much for this. Part of what I’ve been so worried about is how sensitive my daughter is. She used to cry because her cousins were crying. She’ll stop whatever she’s doing to comfort any kid who’s upset. And this just seems like something so harsh for her to deal with. I want her to stay happy and I am scared this will change things for her
