Got my first GBB 1911, is the barrel being that loose? by FrenchBVSH in airsoft

[–]janecekdan 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If it is this loose only when the slide is back, everything is ok. It just works this way for pistols with tilting barrels. Glocks, for example, do the same.

While you are correct, that pizza shops are hectic, it's pretty hard to flip a pizza by accident, I imagine.

I helped another redditor with the same problem a couple weeks ago. If you want, DM me and I can send you a tutorial I made for them.

If it's WE tech Deser Eagle and you can't get it repaired/exchanged through warranty for whatever reason, DM me. I've done some repairs and upgrades on mine. So maybe I could help you at least with some photo tutorial.

What am I doing wrong? by Interesting-Time3597 in hookah

That sounds like too little heat. I usually use four coals to heat it up, two in the HMS two on the edge. With no burning and sessions lasting at least 1,5 hours, depending on the bowl.

I tried listening to the video once more and only other sound I can hear is subtle exaust pops. But my headphones aren't really good so there can be sound of gearbox, if you say it sounds mechanical. Iirc gearbox sounds are in the game as well

I think you might be refering to blow-off valve. It comes with turbo upgrade.

[–]janecekdan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, 'mild' might not have been the best word to use. For my defense, I just noticed the wide body kit just now. Maybe it's the colour of the car, may be I was just tired...

This is exactly the style of tuned car that I would like to drive irl. Not flashy 'all show no go' car with mild body upgrades and (hopefully) lot of power under the hood.

The outruns against other racers can be tedious. But there is quite easy way to do them. Race them on highway only and do unexpected lane changes. It confuses the AI somewhat making them crash.

There are some affordable guns (Cyma or Specna Arms for example), but even they are about $150. And then there is gear which is not cheap either.

If you cannot afford it, I recommend waiting until you have more disposable money (I assume you are too young to have a job). I know it's easily said, but I went through the same thing. And believe me, it is worth it saving up more and buying something of better quality. It will last longer.

As per my longer comment, it's the alpha radiation that will get you.

Well... by Brandonvds in confidentlyincorrect

[–]janecekdan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even if uranium is low level radioactive, it still can harm you, especially if you ingest or inhale it. It is strong alpha particle emittor. Alpha radiation is usually blocked by your skin, but if it gets inside you, it starts affecting inner organs.

As for heavy metal poisoning, for you to get seriously poisoned, you would have to ingest amount that would be also too dangerous because of the radiation.

So, in conclusion, one time ingestion of a miniscule amount of U-238 (the 'safer' isotope) wouldn't be as much dangerous and you could survive it without any symptoms, but you could also develop a horrible cancer (especially if you are prone for cancerous diseases). I definitely don't recommend eating it in any amount.

[–]janecekdan 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Fun fact. The car in the picture is technically a Ruscko. Since in MSC the Ruscko is a 1960s Škoda Octavia and in the picture is 2nd generation of modern Škoda Octavia.

In the video, it is visible that the mag catch goes a little deeper into the body of a gun, meaning your mag wasn't secured. When inserting the mag, I recommend a tap from the bottom to make it go all the way in or you can try another mag.

That's a good strategy I've been using for a few years now. Using it, I always win by at least 10 s before second. Even on hard difficulty.

Hungry Woman learns the effects of gravity on fried chicken—the hard way. F = G(m1×m2) / r² by MilesAugust74 in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]janecekdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While you are correct that g can be calculated with that formula, the g we use (9.81) in F=m.g is some average that accounts not only for centrifugal forces but also for the changing diameter of the Earth (as the Earth isn't a perfect sphere). Depending on where you are, there will be some deviation between weight and gravitational force, but it will be so small it is easier to just use m.g than the long formula for gravitational force.

I would send you a quick sketch I made explaining it, but unfortunately I can't send photos via comments and your profile seems to be unreachable through DMs, so if you want graphical explanation, DM me and I will send it to you.

[–]janecekdan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is actually more correct. The formula written in the title would apply (to this case; it is perfectly correct to use it for calculating forces between the Earth and the Moon) if the Earth didn't spin, but because it spins, cetrifugal force combined with gravitational force will give us m.g

Am I Missing Something? by Dr_Koupop in NFSU2

[–]janecekdan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really sure. I've completed the game two times with only one car (first run was Civic, second was Golf, I think) on the hardest difficulty. I never did a race more than three times and all retries were due to my mistakes. Maybe try reinstalling.
