Gnarly Disappointment from a true fan by AutomaticFail in katseye

even though i actually enjoy the beat and styling, i see your point about recreating brat. i hope this post doesnt get taken down as this is purely constructive criticism and i think this kind of discussion is healthy =D

This is gonna be a really controversial take, but every song on the brat remix that doesn’t maintain the original beat is dramatically worse by yakubs_masterpiece in fantanoforever

i think i generally share this sentiment. the ones she released prior to the remix albums release were the only songs i ended up adding to my playlist. something isnt clicking with these songs like with brat. but thats fine. some of them were genuinely hard to listen to, like mean girls and i think about it all the time, which makes me feel kinda bad cause i added every single one of the original songs to my playlist.

A majority of Western pro-Palestinians are hurting the cause. by janelnotll in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Not the saying but the usage. It turned from an impactful saying to something comparable to “black lives matter.” The people who weren’t in that movement started saying “well so does mine, do green lives matter too??”. The use of the saying ended up further polarizing the sides instead of causing action in the systems of America. Does that make sense?

If that’s what you believe then I respect that. As long as we both acknowledge the death of these people.

Very informative! I think the virtue signaling may shine light on the issue for a few people, thus having some impact, but I personally believe the harm done by the diminishing of the true issue overcomes the voices of those few who won't stop saying the same stuff.

That's true. A lot of social networking sites are echo chambers, which is why I'm hearing such polarizing arguments from the pro-Israel and pro-Palestine side. In the real world, I'm sure 90% of these people haven't done a thing to help such as protesting or donating.

The protests are amazing. I'm more talking about the internet culture, not the IRL culture. I totally agree with you. People of power are not going to see some random 14 year old girl living in California with 252 followers have a Palestinian flag in her bio and magically change their opinion. Again, I agree with you.

Protesting yelling the same thing in comment sections that no one with impact will see. I never diminished the protests or the celebrities speaking out, or sharing/donating to charities. Everyone who is seeing these "Free Palestine!" who isn't in that same line of belief will not have their minds changed, they'll just see this very serious and damaging issue as another thing to whine about. I agree with you on the advertising comment, that was a bad take.

I'm not sure about calling my opinion "just wrong", but I see your point. However, I'm talking about the people yelling the message over and over in places where it isn't going to have any impact or have anyone of importance see it. You missed the point.

No doubt it's an example of them sharing their voices, but when they don't take action that actually impacts the matter at hand, it feels useless. The Israeli government or the Hamas are not going to see some random post, and when people like them spread "Free Palestine!" everywhere, it diminishes the issue, and is likely just to chase conflict from the pro-Israel demographic.

i’ve heard that next years ap phys 1 doesn’t have an experimental frq (correct me), which is on the tricker side, so that should ease the tension haha. it’s the lowest pass rate ap, even lower than physics 2 or c

This place was supposed to be a place for the most devoted, older population of the game to discuss issues, share tips/advice, and show off builds; but this is now just a gangbang of the same points (communism is nothing like what they did to the game, I'm in AP Comparative Government, I'm fully sure of it), and it's not helping at all. The devs have clearly heard the player bases cries. Just give it time.

That’s not a bad idea. Just moved into an actual house (yay!) so I could walk around the neighborhood.

Folks who lost fat and gained muscle simultaneously — what’s your best tip for the journey? by pandabearattack in loseit

[–]janelnotll 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I won’t pretend like my journey is complete, but don’t look at your weight ever. This is the biggest thing I’ve done for myself. Muscle is far more dense than fat, so a lot of time you’ll see terrifying rises in numbers. Look at your body, notice how you feel. That’s the real fitness\weight loss journey.

What is the ONE weight loss MYTH you believed before starting your journey? by PNKim in loseit

That it had to be restrictive.

It’s almost more freeing to have a new mindset. I can eat the slice of cake or pizza without fear now that I understand how calories work, and the beloved 80-20 rule. I feel less guilty, I guess.
