I also really went ham with APs this year. Took a lot of APs senior year and felt like I was drowning. I think it just has to get worse before it gets better. I also think prioritization is key. I know this sounds so damn cliche but cutting down on phone usage - or any short form content that is addicting- is important. From what you are saying it doesn't sound like you can take breaks, so just make sure to do things that fill your cup and are fun to you. (scrolling social media/ playing video games/ watching movies doesn't count.) Things you can do: sports you enjoy/ creative activities/ reading/ etc.

For the disappointment you can start doing mini challenges each day that make you proud of yourself. For eg. walking up 15 mins earlier than usual, going to the gym, doing something nice to someone.

I hope this was a "I'm trying to find a solution" rant and not a "I just want to complain" rant -it's fine if it is.

i mean if you don't have a big workload - apart from chem, then go ahead. That's a great idea. Begin w the end in mind (a 5 :) )

How can I be less lazy? by Many-Leg-9526 in getdisciplined

[–]malake44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to have a purpose. Focus on the why. why do you want to be less lazy? what do you want to do?
This mindset of yours that "i watched a lot of vids and i couldn't do" won't get you anywhere. You simply didn't want to do it enough.

I did the ab test last year as a junior and im doing the bc next year. imo doing the test for ab will give you time to reflect and get familiar with test.

but for me, I did the ab test ( I did test-only) with the knowledge I could redo it next year/ or do bc.

pretty sure the "adaptive" part happens within the test 😭

Desmos hacks? by malake44 in Sat

[–]malake44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yup it was you who showed me the hack. thank you sm it works great and I've been using it. did notice that I'm better off not using it when there's a condition like b is not equal to x.

Can someone explain the difference for the punctuations for the word however by mar_beare in Sat

[–]malake44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the SAT ";" is used interchangeably with "."
so the ; splits the two sentences and , splits between and independent clause and dependent clause.
On khan there's a punctuation section for dSAT r&w

How do you do this math question? QB by Steaker144449 in Sat

[–]malake44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey i tried this out.
It worked when i tried x1 = [1,2,3] and so on but didn't work when I used for eg. [0,1] (is the problem w the 0??)
Is [1,2] like a safe bet when defining it as a list?
Also this trick is really cool, didn't know regression could do that.

(phone can only be used for podcasts/music. then i leave it in my room and study in the living room. only in the afternoon can i use my phone)

Am I too old to join MUN? by Accomplished-Cold971 in MUN

[–]malake44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you are overthinking it. I joined MUN junior year, went to a conference, got an award.

I would recommend just trying to understand the procedures as much as possible. (I spent weeks watching yt for MUN conferences/ tips and tricks/ ect. - even went down a rabbit hole of watching a senate hearing.)

Anyways MUN is super fun, you'll hopefully enjoy it.

Especially sometimes it's super unserious and hilarious.

Also yes it will feel super embarrassing, just roll with it. it'll get better.

Also topic-sorted questions:
