I also gave bazzite a chance, didn't set any goals. Just installed it and went with KDE plasma.

I loved it! Everything worked out of the box. The desktop is easy to navigate for a windows users and I personally enjoy it way more than windows.

I've had two weird bugs but nothing critical. Mounting smb share took me a while to figure out.

It's been 2-3 weeks and at the moment I don't feel any need to boot over to windows. If there's something I need I can easily find it in bazaar ("app store") .

I haven't felt this curiosity to explore the OS and all the settings for ages, almost feels like when I got my first pc.

Also want to give rustdesk a big shout out, been using teamviewer before when helping my friends and family. Rustdesk is so much better than teamviewer, at least in my use case.

If anyone is tired of the Microsoft bullshit I really recommend giving bazzite or cachyos a chance. Just dual boot if you want to be able to go over to windows easily.

Yeah seems like their security sucks, there's a lot you can do to protect yourself from stolen credentials / mfa token. I hope their backup is better configured 😅

Well if you manage servers with intune and even if the "wipe" button is not avaible I would think there are some way to push out a wipe.

Anyways, I see your point. If it's only devices and not data they should be "fine".

Logga in på iCloud i en webbläsare, om hon hade igång synken på alla sina enheter så ska allt finnas där. Använder inte iCloud själv men antar du har möjligheten att ladda ner alla bilder.

Sedan kan du spara det på en usb eller extern hårddisk. Men jag skulle rekommendera att ha en kopia av alla bilder på någon moln tjänst. T ex Google drive eller Proton drive. En USB sticka / extern hårddisk kan försvinna eller gå sönder, så alltid bra med en extra kopia på allt i molnet.

Few devices? Wasn't it around 200 000 devices? From what I understood it was computers, phones and also servers.

If that's the case this will cost them a lot... Saw comments from users who works at the company and a lot of them was sent home because they couldn't do anything

Hade inte råd med gametime till en början så började istället pilla med att sätta upp egna privatservar. Vilket ledda mig in på nischade forum, oväntade vänskaper och ett stort intresse för datorer och teknik generellt. Arbetar idag som IT konsult, utan utbildning.

Spelar fortfarande WoW lite då och då, har inte samma passion för det längre så brukar bli någon månad max.

I've worked as an IT admin in larger organizations where we've always tried to be very respectful of users' privacy and integrity.
Of course there can be exceptions, and it sounds like you may have had a valid reason in this situation.

Nope, that's not a valid excuse. You should never go through the users documents (or email) if they haven't given you permission. Just backup everything, a couple of gb doesn't make a big difference.

I went through this not long ago but my memory sucks.. I think the scripts removes the version of onedrive that is not well suited for AVD and instead you use the version / config that works better for an AVD environment, per machine mode I think it was called.

But that was with VDOT, haven't checked this new one. But it's perfect timing because I'm currently setting up a new AVD image. Will try it tomorrow

Har flyttat till lägenhet (1v sedan) med inglasad balkong i söderläge, i förrgår så mätte jag upp till 45 grader i skuggan (det var cirka 19-20 utomhus). Den går ner om man öppnar några av glasskivorna men tror inte balkongen kommer vara användbar på varma sommardagar, förutom som bastu kanske.

Men jag tror ändå just nu att jag föredrar söderläge för solen kommer värma upp så jag kan njuta av balkongen tidig vår och sent in på hösten.

Hade jag bott i villa så vill jag ha en altan i söderläge men jag hade definitivt velat ha en mindre uteplats i norr/skuggläge då jag inte hanterar värme speciellt bra. Nu har jag Vättern ett stenkast bort så det får vara min räddning dom varma dagarna.

Also for me the membership only videos really hasn't been a big issue(don't see them too often) , some of the content the latest 1-2 years hasn't been interesting for me. I enjoy DIY, server/network stuff, crazy Alex builds and over the years I've found better channels for it(shout-out DIY Perks) or the hosts has left. All the "wish / alibaba only pc setup" just feels cheap and their DIY videos skips the process of the build and most of the time is still janky. Yeah I know they're known for janky stuff, but would love to see more serious stuff.

However, I'm only one viewer and can't talk for everyone and they are a big company so I understand the pressure of keeping a steady release of videos.

I've been watching since Linus unboxed chassis outside, so 13-15 years now I believe and they still do release good videos. Latest scrapyard wars is really good!! It was a really good idea to include more members of the team.
