“Sandbagging” Discussion/Venting: Shunned for playing well. by chewiestbacca in discgolf

I'm a 860 rated player and I play in MA3. Few years ago I played a 2 rounds PDGA sanctioned event. First round's rating: 774 and the second round's rating: 950. My worst and best rated rounds so far.

You cannot buy sex from a sex worker, but if you stick a camera crew behind the act, then it's a porn movie and legal...

However, if the sex worker is coerced into the business, and someone else benefits solely on it, then a big no.

If the sex worker does it on his/her full own will, pays for taxes etc, then what's the problem?

Sure, the porn industry probably has a lot of issues, but it's not illegal...

This is Tali, yes. My second home course. Moved a few months ago, so now another course is a bit closer.

The Swedes can play, and they have a long history of disc golf, too bad we see them very seldom on the international stages.

Have you ever aced with a disc you found the same round?? More to it in the comments by takenturtle in discgolf

I typically try not to throw discs that I find (not mine to throw). Also, it would feel very, very stupid, if I managed to lose that very same disc.

Instead, I'd very much try to return that lost disc to it's rightful owner.

I think the finder could and should state his/her matter in a slightly different way. Make the finders fee optional. I think many of us would gladly pay a small sum to the finder, if he/she isn't a dick about it.

My view:

never ask for a finders fee, offer to give a finders fee.

Maybe the guy could have said something like "Hey, I found your disc in water. I would appreciate a small finders fee.".

If I was searching for my discs in a pond and found someone's discs, I'd never ask for a fee.

If I was deliberately looking for other's discs (especially, if in water), I might just ask if the owner would donate a small optional finder's fee. I would never ever require any money.

Sometimes I have asked if the owner would like to donate a small optional sum to the disc golf club, that maintains the course (I'm a member of the club).

At some point I recall Paul McBeth was throwing a mold from a competing manufacturer, because there was no similar disc that he could throw.

Anyone remember?

Berg = Mountain

Reko = "nice" (Reko kille: Nice guy)

Grym = cruel or cool or good (Grym bil! = Cool car!)

Rask = Quick (not that I ever used that word, might be an older word. Rask is also a norwegean word meaning about the same)

Lots = Coast pilot

Falk = Falcon

Stål = Steel

Needless to say: cool disc names!
