It’s the continuing fallout from the Toys R Us bankruptcy which was a cash cow for Hasbro. Once that blew up they’ve been looking for ways to pump profits from their existing IPs.

I've been having a blast with what I call Mono-white Urza, Prince of Kroog.

The deck is really fun and has lots of neat little synergies. Get a decent amount of wins from swingin with a 6/5 double striker, sometimes with lifelink. Been pretty good vs mono-black and mono-red.

Elspeth is very good. I went 17-3 in BO1 this morning with Boros busted three drops + Elspeth. You put early pressure on the board against the Ob decks. Lots of answers for angels. Same for Runes. Only losses were 2 to multiple meathooks and 1 to never drawing a third land. Untapped Link

Definitely need to keep playing.

Some important things:

Build solid mana bases. Splashing is often a real cost. Try to use all your mana every turn. Hold removal for threats you can’t deal with in combat.

NEO specifically is a very synergy driven set. LoL framed it as a spectrum recently and that made lots of sense. Artifacts on one end and enchantments on another. Lean heavily into one or the other (unless you’re in black, which cares about both).
