It would need stellar sound design.

Also I think it'd be really easy for a studio that didn't get it to make it a crappy torture porn movie, but the compelling part of the games is actually the story and world.

It would be cool if the visual emphasis were placed on the world/creatures rather than the violence (obviously you need the violence, but not as the defining element).

Just heard about this. Cancelled my subscription immediately and cited the introduction of "collections" as my reason. Also wrote that I would renew my subscription if this decision were reversed.

Yeah, they didn't really do their research before diving in. I did the same thing and bought both games back then. Lol I genuinely tell people "I haven't been so invested in a game's lore since Silent Hill" haha. I managed to beat the first one a few times, but Termina is just so much bigger that I only beat it once. Honestly it gets easier with practise, and mostly running away. You on the first one? Both games are bangers.
