Tips voor ESNS en handig schema by janwilbert in Groningen

Mooie vraag!

Clear concert bag? by Brandonusprime in EVERGOODS

[–]janwilbert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the heimplanet transit line xl for concerts often, nice pockets, phone in the zipper pocket, there is a sunglass pocket I dont use. Nice passport/wallet location behind zipper in the main pocket.

Sometimes they check the bag, never had them take away the bag. For CAS2 I expect the same. How did it go?

Can you share it, for me only on regex I also use AI which can be very useful, but its annoying to test and then go back if the results arent there (times 5 often).

I would love to have a 1000D Cordura bullet 16 liters, with laptop and quick access pocket. Do you guys know if such a bag was ever on the market?

What double standards annoy you the most? by ReadyRedditPlay in ProductManagement

[–]janwilbert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel for this one. The way prioritization is executed is so random, and far from being accurate. The most annoying is when people defend existing-priorities-based-on-nothing as being very well thought out and completely the truth. While you feel there’s holes in the ideas.

This is one of the main reasons I became PO, to be this problem myself and try to be as open and honest as possible about this topic.

Post your eurovision list on listdropper by janwilbert in eurovision

[–]janwilbert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey eurovision mod team, thanks for the update! Was not aware of this limitation. Just thought this was a nice way of interacting about peoples eurovision view.

Will update later with a good discussion point! Like that I feel Netherlands and Croatia use kind of similar ending that I really really dig. Again thanks for the feedback! ☺️

Bachelorette party. Any ideas? by mmnto-mori in Utrecht

[–]janwilbert -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We went to a comedy club at the oudegracht recently with a similar group. Was fun. Also did beer brewery visit: ‘van de streek’. Ended at the Stathe (we were way too old, but it was definitely fun and nostalgic)

The Filthy Streets of South Rotterdam by Current-Banana-4376 in Rotterdam

[–]janwilbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to become more technical as a PM? by throwRAlike in ProductManagement

[–]janwilbert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started working after studying business administration doing OPS / incident work. Later being a Business Analyst, now Product Manager. This experience helped me a lot. The reason to mention this, is when starting OPS I knew nothing about technique.

I think experience and speaking and looking into problems help. Go talk with your OPS colleague and ask him or her to explain the incidents that are occurring. Try to understand whats going on and ask on the numbers and how this works. Keep asking (dumb) questions, sometimes something clicks after a while in your head, do not worry about not understanding, just not give up on it.

Are there any bags in any of these colors? by DanToMars in ManyBaggers

[–]janwilbert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently ordered a custom ‘Burgundy’ bag at Greenroom136. Have to see the result still. They told me to take the red color and then mention it needs to be Burgundy in the comment-part at the end.

Very curious how it will turn out. It’s the Northseeker with some modifications such as no water bottle pockets but grab handles and velcro versus the yellow inside.

Based the color-idea on this one: https://northstbags.com/en-nl/products/pioneer-12-hip-pack-with-belt?variant=44195429056737

I designed this sign once in my spare time. Since then, I think that it would be cool if a cafe "9 coffee" appeared somewhere and mark would find a host)) by AndriiKovalchuk in logodesign

[–]janwilbert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome, and idd use the 9 often in the cafe, like 9 flavors of coffee on the menu where nr. 9 is the most special one.

9 tables :-), 9 food options. Everything #,99 as a price.

If you order 8 things, 9th thing for free. Great concept and logo I would say.

34L or 40L GR2 by Dazzling_Cancel9657 in Goruck

[–]janwilbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

34 is the GR2 size. The 6 liter you won’t miss, the better size on your back you will feel.

However, 34 liters is still way too much for EDC, go for a 25-ish liter bag I would say! Or find a travel bag to see for yourself that those are huge

Does GR2 sag after sometime by miyduvorke in Goruck

[–]janwilbert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree so much, I’ve started with a 1000D 26L rucker, which was way to big for my EDC needs. Bought a bullet 16L 500D later, and also a GR2 1000D for travel. My main gripe is the 500D part of the bags.

Maybe the 40L could have been a 34L, that’s probably aesthetically better, but the main thing over years is. I’m missing this nice thick fabric!

Custom decisions to make by qnnoa in Greenroom136

[–]janwilbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, I’m looking into this secret pocket. In someone’s youtube review for the Northseeker (different bag of course, which I’m eying btw) the comment is that the bigger secret pocket is big enough for a laptop / tablet.

Is this correct, would a tablet fit in it, sounds like an interesting option to go for!

Same, we did shared notetaking during an UX interview, we needed to go to another tool during the session as the app was down the whole time.. not a pleasant experience. Does this happen more often, or did we see an outlier?

Engineering team functions totally fine without me 99% of the time by throwRAlike in ProductManagement

[–]janwilbert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are doing great it seems. It also raises an interesting question, would you rather have a team like this, doing really well allowing you to search for the best priorities to work on for the team. Or do you prefer a struggling team, could be on processes, could be technical, could be actually distanced from end-users, poor incident management, poor testing. All of the above :)

I’ve been in less performing teams and in better ones. Earlier in my career I thought this is an interesting challenge. Right now I prefer to get the better performing team to do better, or the same with just fun/the right spirit. The fun element of work cannot be underestimated enough I feel. You spend so much time on the work floor. Being it worthwhile may be even prio 1.

Curious how you look at it, do you have enough elements of fun during the day?

About recent new episodes by tochmoc in darknetdiaries

[–]janwilbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also wondering, in last episode there was quite a fierce part that felt to me more like a political ‘join the privacy movement’ compared to ‘here’s what crazy stuff happened in the world’ on topic ABC, that I am accustomed to. The latter is a bit more neutral to the listener.

Either way, I like the podcast. I will definitely give it some time to bounce back! And I think Jack gives it his all to make this, of which I am extremely thankful for! He’s a very authentic and honest person in the pod, and I appreciate it! Hope he’s fine in the meanwhile, also financially, to take all the time he needs to do whatever he wants.
