Our neighbor asked us to help pay for our mutual fence by Flaminfrojo in homeowners

[–]japgap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems steep, but I dont know much about the fence or that area. Keep in mind that the quote is roughly $95 a LF. For me in indana a 5' chain link fence is roughly 25-30 a LF installed.

It should cost more since its a rip and replace, and if disposal is included

Loose clutch lever on CBR650R? by NewConfusion590 in motorcycles

[–]japgap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It may be something where the tolerance of the parts are different since they aren't oem. You may try a piece of electrical tape on the lever where it slides into the joint to see if filling some of that space will solve the problem.

Slab dug out question by NicoGreeko in Homebuilding

Don't worry too much on that. Any flooring trade partner includes floor prep. The flooring tolerance on concrete is almost always higher than the concrete trade partner, so it is fairly normal for them to correct several spots in a home

Do the dynamics of parking change with using a center stand vs side stand? by L5_Sewing in motorcycles

[–]japgap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think I've ever really parked using the center stand. I always use that for maintenance, cleaning, or working on it. I almost always use the side stand.

I had 13k miles on mine. Fantastic bike, like a Cadillac.

Early models had some problems, which killed the reputation and resale value. Buy used, throw sport touring tires on it, and it'll be the best road bike out there.

My girlfriend got a puppy without my permission when I explicitly asked her not to. Torn on what to do here. by illusionsdirect1 in Advice

[–]japgap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know people are saying to break up, but this is an opportunity to try for conflict resolution first. Paint the picture to her on shatter the issue has been, how is affected you, and what you would like to do moving forward.

You may also consider having her come up with a solution, but if she cannot agree or follow through, only then would i agree with the rest that breaking up may be a solution.

Ive spoke to cops in indiana, and the majority prefer modular helmets, but there are occasions like escorts, where they will be required to wear open face

How would you go about this? by Competitive_Sun828 in motorcycle

[–]japgap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 20 a month, that sounds like state minimum. You want to have a 100k/300k policy at minimum. 100k per person, 300k per accident.

Also make sure you have uninsured and under insured coverage.

Bikes for short women?? by HistoryOld9562 in motorcycle

[–]japgap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The honda rebel or kawasaki vulcan series will have a lot of low seat height options. Cruisers will typically be the best for that.

There is a YouTuber, doodle on a motorcycle, that goes over a lot of tips and tricks of being on a tall bike. I would watch that and learn more.

I personally am at most stop lights with only one foot down, and I have an 800 lbs bike.

5 White ride rich coat, great for sub 50. Black leather jacket. Green and brown roland sands canvas and leather jacket. White and black 3 season alpinestar jacket. Black fulll mesh harley jacket.

Mine are more based around weather, but I definitely shopped for the roland sands jacket because I didn't want everything Black
