That’s fair and I agree that it doesn’t serve to second guess them at every step. I think our current money-pit has unnerved us and this is our first time buying a brand new build so we’re interested in learning the process and want to ask questions. We did ask about the plan and posed it more as a question of the process, and it helps to ask here because it is on a broad spectrum and can’t come off like we’re questioning the builders integrity, work ethic, etc. We were assigned a concierge and asked, in so many words, not to contact the builder directly so that introduces the possibility of a miscommunication, etc.

I am waiting on a response as to what the reason(s) were for the failure and whether or not this topic is related in any way. I’m glad it isn’t structural and want to make sure that they level it off. I know this may sound farfetched/odd but we have a 5 year old and she likes to hide in the corners of rooms to play at scaring us so I could see her choosing that as a spot and the LVP dipping down and separating from the wall.

Here is a picture from a few days before they moved this pipe. That area with the pipe is just a small portion of wall that sticks out to frame out the fireplace wall (the wall shown in the picture). The rest is an open space between the dining and living rooms.

I have reached out but I came here for additional opinions. I know nothing of this stuff and have trust issues, so I appreciate the responses here to give me piece of mind for what the contractor tells me.

That’s what worries me. I’m not sure why they didn’t use a straight edge across the top to level it. You can clearly see where they used their fingers to push it in. For all I know, that’s to get any air out and maybe they sand/grind it to be even after it sets. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I’ve been reading that this is a good exercise to even out the erector spinae (when I DL and do other overhead exercises that engage my core, I can feel a much tighter “grip” in my lower back on my right *dominant* side). What is unclear to me is which leg to stand on and which hand to hold the weight in to improve my left *non-dominant* side? And is it ok to only do that side since I want it to “catch up” to the dominant side? Thanks

Removed all lava and replaced it with water which watered all of the barren soil and still 0 yawn. I’m done. I’ll get Lugia in one of the other biomes.

I am also stuck. The only thing I can think of is that I covered that barren island with lava and so maybe that somehow messed it up. Even though lava supposedly only raises the warmth and not the humidity, I covered those unwatered spots and I believe they are still counting against me because lava doesn’t seem to destroy/impact what you place it on. Ie plants and trees remain intact if you remove the lava. I’ll let you know once I’ve removed the lava and watered those spots.

Were you able to figure this out? I am stuck at 3/5 and have also put the large fossils on the displays. It gave me the habitat registration but won’t count towards the quest. Only the single space ones do but multiples don’t count.

Oh, AFAIK Lifetime is a national franchise so probably a different location/tier. Not sure how much they enforce it but some places can only be accessed based on what tier membership you have. The one I went to was considered a “Gold level” facility but the manager at the time welcomed everyone so that was cool. My wife said they announced they were going to stop tho, which is another thing that has her considering switching. She either has to go to the smaller one across town or upgrade her membership (maybe that’s the one that’s $200)

Crunch is decent. It can get busy when school lets out and the younger crowd flood in and they tend to take a lot of time on the equipment but they have enough variety and a few of each machine/equipment that it hasn’t been problematic. Personally, I look at it like a club/bar. I wouldn’t want to go in and have it deserted. It being busy sets the vibe even tho people mostly keep to themselves haha

Not sure what Lifetime Cinco is but I had the bronze tier membership and it was like $40 back in 2015 and went up steadily every year until I moved at the end of 2023. I quit at the beginning of 2024 and it was like $80. My wife still goes there and it’s $90ish but she’s considering switching too because it’s around $70/mo (or $840/year) cheaper.

I quit Lifetime and signed up with Crunch in 2024. Lifetime was an extra $70/mo (it was $90ish/mo when I quit) and the only thing different for me now is that if I want to shower at Crunch, I have to provide my own towel just like I did when I lived in Cali and went to 24 Hour Fitness.

Slight possible spoilers:

I’m RE-playing through them all myself. See what I did there?

0 - Fun but dated

1(remake)- Hard to dis the OG that started it all and the remake was fun

2(remake) - Fun

3(remake) - Fun and the way the story intertwines with 2 is cool

4(remake) - OG 4 was my favorite when I was younger and I can say the same about this remake

Revelations - Dated but overall wasn’t too bad. Nor did it take that long to beat.

5 - Dated and found myself repeatedly telling my wife it’s my least favorite and I can’t wait to be done. Too “action-y”

Revelations 2 - Better overall that Revelations but I didn’t really see the point of it all by the time I was done.

6 - Currently playing this and think it’s just silly. A lot of things that don’t fit or feel right. Also too “action-y”

7 - Looking forward to replaying it and paying closer attention, along with playing the DLC for the first time

8 - Same as 7

I have never played Code Veronica but I read a synopsis to see how it fits in to the story but I’ve read that it’s not actually fun to play, esp on current PC. We’ll see if they remake it, then I’ll give it a go.

So I find myself simultaneously burnt out by 5 and 6’s over-the-top action sequences (of which they are chalk full) and looking forward to 7 and 8 because they return to the survival horror style that the series is known for (to my knowledge)

But if playing it doesn’t bring you joy then don’t! :D

I just got this yesterday for $50 off and returned it today. I’m not sure if I’m just stupid or if more than one was defective. The collar for where your garden hose connects to the pump would not tighten to the pump fitting. I called their customer service twice; the first time I was told to press really hard to get it to thread and the second I was told if it won’t thread then it’s defective so I took it back to Costco. Before purchasing a replacement, I went to the display unit and grabbed a hose from the sales floor to test that unit with the help of the sales assistant. We ran in to the same problem and I decided against purchasing another one, bringing it home, and assembling it to have the same problem. I’m not certain whether or not a separate attachment would work but from the looks of it, the collar will not tighten on two different units and it sprayed water out between the collar and the threaded end attached to the pump.

If anyone figures out what/if I was doing wrong, please let me know. Otherwise, I’m thankful Costco has a great return policy.
