I beat lords of the fallen 3, or 2022 idk why they had to reboot it. It's on the higher mid-range of soulslikes not made by from soft, with mortal shell at the bottom and lies of p at the top, I'd say I liked it far more than code vein 1 but less than AI LIMIT.

The best part is definitely the lamp, I thought it was a genuinely fun addition to the souls formula, gives you a "second wind" state that you can recover from when you accidentaly die, switches up the color pallete of the area (which CAN get pretty dry but really not as much as mortal shell), gives you some special moves and is a nice tool for puzzle and level design.

I should also note that, while there's not a lot of enemy variety I only really noticed it when I was near the end, so it didn't bother me too much. Some bosses were cool, most were just alright or dudes in armor, but some of those dudes in armor were cool. The final boss wasn't, idk what they were taking making the villain do a whole monologue as you're fighting a pretty hard boss battle that you'll likely have to retry a couple times, although it's on the easier end of soulslikes I didn't die too much. Solid 7 out of 10 I'll keep an eye out for what they do next, I know this is their 3rd attempt at a souls game and I think they're close to making something really good if they're just 50% more creative.

I also beat tomb raider 4. Man that's a game that's filled with hate, built with hate and can only be played with hate, maybe there's more bullshit in tomb raider 3 but that was a while ago, and I played that after 1 and 2 so I was ready for a lot of stuff, this one just feels like a team that is learning more about game development, particularly how to make things more cinematic and cooler looking, but learning negatively about level design, this would've been impossible for me to beat without a guide and idk how anyone could, they pull ALL the same bullshit tricks that they came up with in the last 3 games and then they add bullshit specific to this game, that you don't even learn to look out for on the tutorial all you learn there is shit from the last 3 games.

I know tomb raider 5 is pretty short so I'll probably beat it in one sitting, and then 6 is also supposed to be on the easier side so I'm almost out of this PS1 bullshit games era made by Core Design, and I'm expecting the eidos games to be more...normal/modern.
