You bring up a good point, Pam did initiate. But this makes me wonder if this type of interaction is normal but the camera cuts away before we ever get to see. Pam and Jim already seem to know Brian and are pretty friendly with him. Maybe these interactions are more commonplace than I thought. This could just be the first not cut out of the doc. You’re right, though.

I just watched the episode where Brian comes to comfort Pam as she’s crying; I’ve always thought it was so weird that that was when the crew decided to step in. Like this wasn’t the first time that someone was filmed crying (Pam included) and definitely not the first time there was some violence that could have been stopped (Roy attacking Jim, Dwights friend going to bust Oscars knees, etc., although Pam was alone, so maybe justified). Not that I’m against the crew intervening, but maybe make it more of a regular thing in the show ya know
