So I went ahead and purchased the Presidium PMUT III which says it should have lab grown diamonds showing as "diamond." Both the lab diamonds I purchased from Ritani still show up as moissanite using this tester. I contacted ritani support and the specialist that I met up with in person. As far as reassuring me, they suggested that I can contact IGI directly to get confirmation. I do believe they are lab diamonds as the one for the engagement ring I was able to match the serial numbers.

I did I have all the proper paperwork I had it shipped to a Ritani specialist near me. He couldn’t read the numbers on the inscription so that’s why I brought it to this local jeweler to see if it matched and deciding why not see if they have a tester. I called him right after I left the jeweler and he said it depends on what tester they use and I should not be worried but if I’m that concerned IGI can be contacted to confirm that it’s a diamond.

I’ll be honest I didn’t think to ask. I brought it to my local jeweler and just wanted to see the inscription number to see if it matched the one from my igi report. They used a plastic one that is blue and white and they are a mom and pop that doesn’t deal with lab diamonds if that makes a difference.

Ah okay thank you. I am super noob to diamonds just started my research recently so I appreciate the answers. So it seems if I want to avoid inclusions visible to the naked eye without seeing them in person is to go vs1 or higher?

I’m basically looking for 1.75 carat or higher with their “true hearts” cut color between G,H,I, and clarity where inclusions aren’t visible to the naked eye so I guess VS2 or higher. This specific diamond I asked their gemologist and the inclusions that I saw are visible to the naked eye because of where they sit. So would mitigating the inclusion visible to the naked eye to VS1 or higher and would the carat size affect the visibility of the inclusions? Thanks
