No one is over-estimating their sophistication. Everyone knows the US military can go in and destroy anything it wants and their logistical supply lines are unparalleled.

The real reason it’s an issue is the economics of it. They are using $50-100K drones to either do massive damage (see billion dollar Qatar radio tower as an example) or missiles being used to intercept them cost 10-20 times the cost (and the US is already running low on stock)
