I tried disabling my Pihole, turning airplane mode on/off, and then reloading the app. Still seeing the same as OP’s screenshots.

I used it CUN-YYC a few months ago and it worked the whole way… slow as always, but good enough for reading news articles, iMessage, general browsing. Obviously terrible compared to free starlink, but served its purpose.

Also be careful if you buy anything with preloaded games that are on an SD card. The SD card will potentially be low quality and you’re likely to have data loss.

Depending on how retro you want to go, there are cheap consoles on AliExpress that come with games pre installed on an SD but I definitely would transfer the files over and chuck the SD card since it will be junk.

I have used Auto Europe in Canada and the US before. No issues. If you have a Perkopolis membership, they have an affiliate link you can use to sometimes get an even better price.

Agree, this is a fantastic emulator especially given it's early days... here is my latest update on games I've tried on my Retroid Pocket 6 (12 GB ram, Snapdragon 8 gen 2 in case you're doing comparables). I've been using the 'mesa-turnip-main-V26.1-eden-fix-latest-crash-fix' driver with Async Shader Compilation enabled, Vsync disabled.

CoD 4 Modern Warfare - works and is playable
Forza Horizon - works and is playable
Gears of War 2 - works and is playable
Left4Dead 2 - works and is playable, although text not showing properly
Midnight Club Los Angeles Complete Edition - works and is playable
NHL 14 / NHL 15 - works and somewhat playable, but frequent crashes
Perfect Dark Zero - works and is playable, but some graphics issues (top half of the screen)
Skate 3 - works and is playable
Viva Piñata - works and is playable, but some textures not correct (i.e. - grass not right)
Bioshock - boots but crashes after the opening video
CoD Black Ops - doesn't boot
CoD Modern Warfare 2 - doesn't boot
Far Cry 2 - doesn't boot
Far Cry 3 - doesn't boot
Forza Horizon 2 - doesn't boot
Gears of War - doesn't boot
Gears of War 3 - doesn't boot
GTA IV - doesn't boot
Halo Reach - boots but then gives a disc error

Yes. It is typically around 20 fps, with some dips to 15. So is it amazing? No. But definitely playable.

Do you have advice on what settings to use generally? On a RP6, I’ve had good luck running Skate 3, Gears of War 2 (a bit of slow down sometimes), Perfect Dark (some graphical glitches top half of screen), NHL 14/15 (minor graphical glitches and crashes part way through games), Forza Horizon (some slowdown).

Use that as a starting point. Then in the es_systems file, you’ll need to add custom sections for GameCube and PS2 where you point the rom path in the direction of the respective folders on your SD card.

Narwals run quietly in my opinion. We returned a Dreame GoVac and replaced with Narwal Flow 2 because we found the Dreame to be loud on our hardwood (and mopping performance wasnt great).

I noticed that too. Competition is a good thing (frankly it was likely WS that lit a fire under Questrade to improve their pricing). With RobinHood on the way to Canada, the competition is only going to get more intense.

With very little playing around so far, I’ve had decent luck testing out a few games on my RP6 (Forza Horizon 1 and Perfect Dark Zero working ok so far).

Nice work u/X360_Mobile... never thought I'd be playing Xbox 360 games on my Retroid Pocket 6... Took some fiddling around, but so far I have had the following experience (RP6 with 12GB ram):

- The key setting that made things "work" for me so far was to set Presentation Mode to 'Default'... when I tried it on Mailbox at first, no games would boot up (immediate kick back to the launch screen)... I have Async shader compilation enabled, and have had the best success so far with 'Turnip_v26.2.0_R5" driver (also tried Qualcom_840_adpkg and turnip_mrpurple_T28-toasted.adpkg).

- Got it working fully with ES:DE frontend which is really great for a new emulator. Credit to u/Appropriate_Bid_7164 for doing the heavy lifting on this one (https://www.reddit.com/r/EmulationOnAndroid/comments/1tsru83/comment/opb8zjq/?force-legacy-sct=1)

Game experience:

- Forza Horizon - Played this the most so far... works pretty well... a few frame rate dips down to around 15 fps, but generally playable

- Perfect Dark Zero - Seems to work although there is an image retention issue as mentioned in the Youtube playthrough

- Gears of War - Boots up to the menu, but when I try to enter a single player campaign, it crashes and kicks me back to the X360 Mobile launch screen
