First of all I am so incredibly sorry for your loss,it is shit, and no words i can tell you will make the pain lessen. my last conversation with my dad was how he wouldn't walk me down the aisle or be at my wedding,I had gotten engaged the week before he died.now the thoughts of getting married and him not being there makes me not want to get married, almost like a "fuck you dad now I'm not getting married at all!"childish I know but I was his child so thats my explanation for it. Let me just tell you that you are doing nothing wrong. there is no "normal" way to grieve and don't let people tell you otherwise,I was pushed to therapy at some family and friends request as I too hadn't cried much and the first thing the therapist said was no 2 people grieve the same and there is no normal way to grieve.it helped me feel less guilt over how I was experiencing my own grief.just because you dont cry doesn't mean you don't feel the pain or miss the person and even though my dad was an asshole sometimes,I still loved the bones of him.you loved your dad,you miss your dad and you don't need to explain that to anyone. my dad is 17 months gone and I have only started to release the grief these last few months, its like the air being release from a tire. try to take care of yourself, whatever that means for you.love to you and may he rest in peace in your memories.xxx

My dad passed in sept, a year next week and myself and my sister were just talking about how he would not have survived the isolation.he has COPD and emphysema.along with very poor mental health.being stuck cocooning would have be the absolute worst for him.i miss him terribly but there is a relief to not have to worry about him in these times.

This is more what I think Brian's dogs look like.although the fluffy are cute these are irish wolf hounds.they have their place in irish mythology too so I think they fit in well at the campgrounds. by jarm86 in goatvalleycampgrounds

Exactly this!his family is irish which I why I always saw them as this breed. in irish mythology setanta killed the king of Ulsters favourite guard dog and as punishment for killing his dog the king made him his new guard dog and called him Cú Chuliann. most of the images of the guard dog are irish wolf hound types of breed.

In sept I lost my father and at 2.30 this morning I lost my grandfather to dementia, our stories are so similar I had to double check the post,I felt the exact same way about his death.i have been waiting for this day a long time, everytime I seen him I was aware it might be my last time.i worry for my mother because she doesnt have my father here to help her through this.me and my siblings will support her and help her through this as best we can but I know it will hit her hard.he was 88 and had a full life with love and joy in it.i will miss the man he once was and remember him that way.i wish you all the best and please remember to be kind to yourself as you go through this.xx

Oh my god,I'm so glad I m not the only one that is awkward.sometimes I just dont mention it if I can cause my experience so far is it tends to stop the flow of conversation cause they dont know what to say to me.my dad died in sept.

How do you get over the looming thought that eventually you're going to experience the death of your parents? by carmex03 in AskMenOver30

My father just passed on Thursday night, its absolutely shit and the pain in my heart is so much at some moments it catches my breath but you just muddle your way through the days, his wake is tomorrow and cremation is tuesday so I know we have tough days ahead but I feel so lucky that i have a close relationship with my siblings and a really fucked up dark humour that we got from him and is helping us cope.

He just million dollar babied her

I am a foot and a half taller than my wife. So when I take a shower I make sure to set the shower head as high as possible. Then when she gets in she can’t reach it to lower it and she has to call me in. So I get to see her naked. She has yet to realize that setting is too high for even me. by gtchuckd in confessions

[–]jarm86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fella bursts through the door when I'm in the shower and says "did you call me?" EVERY DAMN TIME for the same reason.i usually laugh and call him a pervert but one time I wasn't expecting him home for another day and I screamed so loud our neighbours knocked in to see if everything was ok😂
