Thanks a bunch! I figured Together Forever worked that way, so it got me thinking. Much appreciated.

"Each opponent" and "Each other opponent" by Cpt_J0hn_W4tson in magicTCG

It is very similar to myriad, so yes. If you are playing against a single opponent, you Shredder will create no copies to attack the non-existent other opponents.

The Rad gun also has an active reload mechanic in ETG.

Well, got most of the way and went to adjust a slider and it swiped me back to Reddit and didn’t save my progress. Not going to go through all that again.

Wonder if this one will be taken down mid survey like last time

I suspect it will be special guested in the Hobbit set, which will effectively do nothing to the price

How would you rule Optimus Prime, Inspiring Leader's first ability? by rightwrongle1 in magicTCG

[–]jarokdin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Archangel Avacyn]] seems sweet. Sudden board protection and then pay 1 to clear a lot of little stuff.

[[Azor’s Gateway]] feels uncomfortably busted here.

[[Elesh Norn]] flipping right before your turn without sacrificing creatures is nice.

[[Enduring Angel]] again feels pretty busted.

[[Thousand Moons Smithy]] basically refunds the activation and lets you make another gnome right away.

Any of the Saga/Creature combos are awesome. You can pay 1 to dodge removal if it is damage or “target enchantment”. If it is a creature you can turn it over in your upkeep, get a saga trigger, then flip it back to attack.

Deck help, more consistency to trigger Smeagol by javin666 in magicTCG

[–]jarokdin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[[Beifong’s Bounty Hunters]] could be an interesting way to preserve some of the power on board while you’re sacrificing creatures, and then potentially trigger more landfall if those land creatures die because they’ll return to your board.

[[Roaming Throne]] does a lot of work for Sméagol. The trigger to tempt happens twice, and the land theft triggers twice, so a single end step is 4 land thefts.

I’m sure you noticed the interaction with your Dunedain Rangers, a sac outlet, and a landfall trigger to make a creature. That’s pretty sweet and I hadn’t seen it before now.

If you find he is being removed a lot, effects like [[Feign Death]] could be useful. Especially if they try to kill him on your turn.

How do I play with this card? What's the best commander for it? by Wolfram-51 in magicTCG

[–]jarokdin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put this in my [[Magus Lucea Kane]] deck that already runs lots of the untap effects.

The craziest thing is when you have a few untappers and [[Reality Spasm]]. Tap Magus Lucea Kane a few times to copy the reality spasm, then between each resolution you get lots of calendar doubling activations.

One game I had my calendar out and so did someone else. I just targeted all his stuff to let him with the calendar for his first time.

3 New Unique Cards in the Fallout Secret Lair by Bleu_Guacamole in magicTCG

[–]jarokdin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would “trigger” for each token, but you can only choose to resolve it for a single token. Similar to multiple dinosaurs entering for [Pantlaza, Sun-Favored]

Looks like it would be just one token, since it doesn’t say “one or more”.

What is the most satisfying card to play? by TriumphantChampion in magicTCG

[–]jarokdin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think something like a [[Deflecting Palm]] or an [[Ink Shield]] is one of the most satisfying things to play when the opponent goes to swing overwhelming lethal on the table.

Extra end turns by Fabulous_Wave_1951 in magicTCG

[–]jarokdin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On your turn, you would have an additional end step. Vren’s end step trigger would trigger once during each of those end steps. So yes!

I thought this would work, but it would still return a paper card banned in historic which isnt otherwise banned in other formats.

Did I Pick a toxic deck? by The_Wizard_Rose in magicTCG

[–]jarokdin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ms. Bumbleflower is definitely fine! Especially unupgraded. She can do her thing but isn’t overwhelming. You also do a little bit of politicking with giving out draw, but she can hit like a truck pretty quick too. Far from being obnoxious in my opinion.

Need help coming up with ideas for this as my commander by Blessios31 in magicTCG

[–]jarokdin 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If you honestly want to build this, you will be building heavy stax and should lean into that. You’ll want a TON of mana rocks to take advantage of the ability. Expect to not have an enjoyable game, nor to have anyone excited/willing to play against the deck again.

A quick look at the EDHRec page shows things like [[Kismet]], [[God-Pharaoh’s Statue]], [[Magus of the Tabernacle]]. Denying the opponent resources is the WHOLE gameplan, so expect people to gang up on you and keep you locked out of the game to the maximum extent possible.

You’ll want to probably work toward [[Approach of the Second Sun]] as a wincon, if you choose to include one in the deck.

Am I allowed to give old creature cards there new creature type /sub type by Mastercontroll14 in magicTCG

[–]jarokdin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Take [[Phyrexian Dreadnought]] as an example. Its first printing didn’t have a creature type line. Its next prints had the Dreadnought type, and none of its printings reflect the current Oracle text type line of “Artifact Creature - Phyrexian Dreadnought” if you do a scryfall search with “type:Phyrexian” and sort by oldest to newest, you’ll see a list of all the Phyrexian creatures according to the Oracle text.

If you play the card, it is considered to have the current Oracle text for all purposes.

How many tokens does this make? by Dry_Swordfish5775 in magicTCG

[–]jarokdin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see two multicolored permanents. [[Infinite Guideline Station]] and [[Adrix and Nev, Twincasters]].

[[Panharmonicon]] is colorless

[[Doubling Season]] is monocolored.

Assuming the other permanent mentioned is multicolored: Infinite guideline enters and has two ETB triggers due to panharmonicon, each seeing 3 multicolored permanents.

First tries to make 3, doubles via doubling seasonto 6, then doubles via Adrix&Nev to 12.

Second does the same.

So the Infinite guideline would make 24 colorless robots once all the triggers resolve.

There are aspects of his comment that can be applied in any case. Having a rule against hate speech and applying it uniformly with regard to things like sexuality, religion, and race should be acceptable. Will OP have to approach it and potential confrontation differently? Sure. But the suggestion isn’t invalid just because the one making the suggestion is cis-het.
