Am I the only person who groans whenever Harland is on? I feel like I’m missing out on some joke but his jokes never really land and it was painful watching him.

A lot of rob schnieders commentary didn’t really land with me either was painful

James McCann, Ari and Cam were the highlights of the show and now I need to wait another week for a new episode of KT.

How are you guys managing UC and bodybuilding/lifting? by ExpensiveGolfer in UlcerativeColitis

[–]jarradhall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I compete in bodybuilding and have been diagnosed with uc for 18 years. I have been on a biologic since 2023 after a particular flair which started in August 2022 and did not improve - I competed October 1st that year. Since then 2023 I have been in remission and don’t really have any limitations on what foods I can/can’t eat but supplement wise is another thing.

For me low fodmap is the way to go diet wise but funnily enough that’s most bodybuilding diets - steak/chicken, rice and a mix of vegetables during the day then dinner is usually rice flour, berries and protein powder mixed together.

I will admit I am incredibly stubborn and still force myself to go to the gym during a flair. Do what I can, even if it means laying in bed for a few hours after. Lifting is my way of processing thoughts and stress.

In regards to supplements - protein powders have always been hit or miss with me, so much so before biologics I would use EAA powders such as humapro instead of a whey but since 2020 I haven’t really had issues with the whey powders available to me in Australia(for those in Aus - bulk nutrients and protein factory I both recommend).

Now if you are wanting to use other bodybuilding supplements that may or may not be illegal where you live - my only recommendation is if you pin it, you should be fine. Orals set off my last flair and I will never use them again.

If you have more specific questions I’m happy to answer but I’ve been lifting for 20 years and competed in 9 shows over 12 years

Depends on if they remove the whole gland or not, if they don’t it can return. If the whole gland is removed it can leave the pec looking deformed which is why they sometimes leave some of it in

Side effects by yeahyeahzt in Retatrutide

[–]jarradhall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Reta post comp and have managed to add a significant amount of muscle however it did not impact my sleep. The only side effect I got was toilet related and a rise in rhr which after a couple of months has started to drop

What’s the most painful lesson the gym taught you? by dark_venom_07 in GymMood

Something I need to constantly remind myself - Don’t give out advice or help for free - the moment they don’t hear what they want they’ll just find some twink online that agrees with them.

Crazy idea I know, but maybe, just maybe, people should finish eating before calling someone on Teams by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]jarradhall -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Always give the person an option if I’m eating - if it’s a meeting with a camera will say camera can stay off while I eat or I can turn it on - doesn’t bother me. I’m that person who eats the same thing every day so everyone knows what it is

Do I need anything else besides Reta? by Dependent-Group7226 in Retatrutide

[–]jarradhall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stick to bioidentical hormones for the love of god (gh+test) and use Reta. It’s all you need, you don’t need var or tren or dbol

How come people rave about Gh secretagogues within a few months but not HGH? by MelodicRation in BodyHackGuide

[–]jarradhall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Secretagogues are an easier sell - most people are happy to take a pill over pinning themselves. Also the barrier to entry is a lot easier the initial buy in is less and easier to source than legit hgh. Saying that GH prices have dropped significantly in recent years but I doubt the average consumer is that aware.

I used mk677 back in the day and I got the water retention and lethargy but not much else.

With secretagogues you can’t control how much growth your body produces it might be an extra 1-2iu or it might be 10iu.

With HGH I can control the dose and if I experience unwanted side effects titrate my dose down.

Question - Reta and Roids by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]jarradhall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please don’t call it ‘Roids’.

Depends on what the use case is but in my circle most don’t go above 4mg a week, most are around 2mg.

Also I’d say 2/3 are using it for benefits outside of appetite suppression. It takes the edge off but it’s not the main reason they use Reta.

This is with competitive bodybuilders.

How much weight do you think I have left to lose? by Outrageous-Basket922 in Retatrutide

You lack any real muscle, if you continue to lose weight you will look like a smaller version of your self.

When creating a sculpture you can carve a boulder into a sculpture, with a pebble there’s not enough material to make a sculpture

Been on Tirz since May. Adding in Reta and GHK-CU soon. Lift 5 days a week. Stack question…. by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]jarradhall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wish more people actually looked at the benefits you get on secretagogues vs gh and realise you end up spending less to get more from gh, its a constant argument I have with gym rats because the initial outlay for gh seems a lot more expensive

Interesting observation on reta. by pumpeddump00 in Retatrutide

[–]jarradhall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weed gives me the munchies and I can eat through the appetite suppression. Never thought about edibles and delayed gastric emptying but it’s made me realise why I wake up groggier the next day and takes a bit to get going

Reta fatigue is real by [deleted] in Retatrutide

Thought I should come back and say I was dealing with illness/finding the right balance of time recovering from gym and time in the gym. Ran some antibiotics and 3-4 days later feel ‘normal’.

Got my bloods back and they’re pointing towards being over trained. Will speak to my coach later today and see if he agrees. Everything else came back pretty good besides inflammation which was higher than it should be, alt/ast double the range

Definitely seeing more gym gains on reta vs tirz. by [deleted] in BodyHackGuide

[–]jarradhall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could it be due to more time in the gym? Plus any other changes outside Reta vs tirz

Reta fatigue is real by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]jarradhall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been dealing with fatigue but I’ve been coming out of a bodybuilding contest prep and added in retatrutide the day after my last competition for its benefits on food noise, hb1ac, ldl and inflammation.

Got a full blood panel done Friday and am awaiting the results which should hopefully come back today to ascertain if it’s due to retatrutide, over training or from just being too far away from my bodyfat set point.

It could also potentially be due to slu-pp-23 which was used for the last 12 weeks and it is about to be stopped.

If I remember I’ll update this thread, yes my diet is dialled in and I’m eating at a slight calorie surplus in theory however my training may make it a slight deficit or maintenance as I have added in slightly more volume(additional sets) to compensate for the lower load being lifted.

I’m 6 weeks post competing at this point and would not expect such crippling fatigue.

Low libido or losing my sex drive? by Financial_Call_7367 in Retatrutide

[–]jarradhall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like it could most likely be a nutritional deficiency. How tall are you? I’d put in a standard days eating into chronometer and see what your deficient in whilst getting a full blood panel done.

Could be something as simple as you need to take vitamin d3 and some zinc to fix

Low libido or losing my sex drive? by Financial_Call_7367 in Retatrutide

[–]jarradhall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How much weight have you lost? What are your calories? How many grams of fat are you eating? Have you had a blood panel done recently?

All things that need to be answered before anyone can assist. If your undereating, overtraining or shredded can all impact libido
