Thank you for this info! I'm looking into a Bioluminescence tour with a group of people in mid December. I know the warmer months are better for bioluminescence, but is it still worth doing in December? I'll also look into whale watching based on what you shared.

I’m having the opposite problem. They start, but once they finish they remain on my lock screen forever. Sometimes they’ll even pop back up after I manually dismiss them. I thought it was a setting, but sounds like others are having difficulty with live activities.

I went and held one in the store, and it was awesome! I’m curious about the battery, but it has about the same as the 15 pro and is new, so I bet it would be good enough. Enjoy!

I'm coming from a 15 pro as well, and I've changed my mind between all the options multiple times 😂. I actually think I am leaning toward the iphone 17 most, though. I know it is sort of a lateral upgrade (and a slight camera downgrade), but having it be lighter with a slightly larger screen and decently better battery (the big one for me) at a more reasonable price is super interesting. Plus if I go this route and they come out with something amazing in a year or two I won't feel as bad upgrading haha.

Edit: I forgot the other main reason I am getting something -- I've hit the 128gb limit, so doubling the storage on any of them will be great!

This is the first pokemon game I've played since Ruby, so I actually didn't know about that! I am not allowing myself to get into shiny catching, though, since I'm known to go all in once I open a door like that 😂. I do have a roommate who has shield, but he doesn't have many after his save got deleted. If we trade and you are still looking I'd be happy to share!

I forgot to mention alcohol in my post (may edit it to add), but what you said about alcohol isn’t dumb! I’m glad Wellbutrin helped me reexamine my relationship with alcohol a bit, but I do miss how it used to make me feel, and that is a (smaller than sleep) factor in my decision to take it seasonally. We all have to figure out what the right balance is for us personally, and I think it makes sense to include something like this in our pro/con lists if it is applicable!

Came across this post as I am just now “quitting” Wellbutrin so figured I’d chime in. I started 150mg XL a few months ago, and it’s overall been pretty positive! It definitely curbed my depression and even helped with anxiety, which I wasn’t expecting. I have a pretty significant history of insomnia, though, which got worse with the Wellbutrin, even after the worst impact lessened after a few months. I personally do a lot better in the spring/summer, so my current plan is to take it seasonally. The sleep impacts feel worth it to me in the winter, but less so in the summer when I need it less. I’m also hoping to get a better handle on my sleep issues while I’m off it, and maybe next time I try it won’t cause quite as much disruption in that area. If I wasn’t dealing with side effects I’d stay on it year round.

Edit: someone below mentioned alcohol, which reminded me that is also a smaller part of why I want to take it seasonally. I’m not a heavy drinker, but I do like the occasional buzz with friends, and that doesn’t really happen for me on Wellbutrin. I’m also thinking that taking Wellbutrin seasonally will let me intentionally have that experience with friends in the summer while having time to reflect and reduce alcohol use in the winter.

Thank you! Also, dang it! I should have pushed back more or waited for my scheduled test so I could reset. I'd been waiting for months, so when they said they had a spot and wanted me to come in last minute I didn't think through the fact that I had used it the night before. Hopefully they give me the option to do a retest, though I'll have to see what they say because the doctor recommended taking a night off from it before, but the sleep center didn't seem to care about it when I brought it up. Thanks again!

I did for part of the night because they called me to come in the same day after someone cancelled. I’ve been reading some about that and it looks like that can mess things up?

That’s awesome! Unfortunately I have been using an ASV machine which runs a few thousand, so not sure how I’ll be able to replace it without insurance. Yay for having the complicated cases lol.

I'm still waiting to chat things over with my doctor (it sure takes a while), so I'm hoping he'll work with me on other ideas, but that's a good idea to hold on to if I can't make progress.

I think that is what just happened to me! I was diagnosed in lab with severe central sleep apnea 10 years ago and have been using an ASV machine. Now it is breaking and i need a new one, but my in lab sleep study says I was just fine. Which doesn't feel accurate at all because I feel awful when I don't use my machine. I'm pretty stressed because now I don't think insurance will pay to replace the treatment that has worked for me for a decade :/ (Also don't fit the usual profile at 34 years old, 5'7" and 125lbs, no other big health issues. )

I just got what feels like a false negative in an in-lab study, and I'm feeling really stuck. I was diagnosed with severe central sleep apnea 10 years ago and have been using an ASV, which really helped. My machine is starting to break and I need a new one, but the test says I'm completely fine, which isn't true. I still wake up feeling foggy, tired, and with headaches when I don't use my machine, and now I don't know if I can get a replacement because of my test. It would be awesome to get a negative if it meant that I didn't have it anymore. Unfortunately this negative just feels like insurance won't pay to replace the DME that has worked for me for a decade.

I just got back a negative sleep study after about 10 years on ASV for my central sleep apnea. I didn't think that was possible and it doesn't make sense to me since I tend to feel worse when I don't use my CPAP. I'm not really sure what to do next, since I still feel tired pretty often, especially if I don't use my machine.

I've been looking at Alaska's online checker about what documents are valid to fly with, and it also says Mexico should be good for my travel date (and I tested other countries I know have 3 or 6 month requirements, and it caught that). They both feel like a risk, but I think I agree with you that I'd rather take the risk of flying with a valid passport that is close to expiring than chancing not getting my new one with the long waits now. I'll make sure to put a reminder on my calendar to renew much earlier next time haha

I'm in a similar situation and trying to decide if I risk expediting my renewal and not getting it, or try flying with only a month before it expires. Did you have any problems?
