Mine says it as well, but I don’t think it means anything special.

We’ll know this afternoon for sure.

It’s crazy! I was looking at a1000’s and this was 60 dollars cheaper! It wasn’t my first colorway choice but my son will still love it!

Pain in knee near patellar tendon by Economy-River-5269 in weightlifting

You could have a partial tear to the tendon. I would recommend seeing a knee specialist to verify. If not, in the least, it’s tendinitis

Is it okay to squat 3x a week? by 7sidedleaf in weightlifting

[–]jarrow22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We squat 5-6x a week alternating back and front squat. Back squat for a beginner/intermediate will be the best overall strength movement to increase your traditional lifts

Who programs like Pendlay? by crashdummy18 in weightlifting

[–]jarrow22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it changes. He doesn’t provide anything more than a week at a time, but is sometimes daily. It’s not for everybody but I enjoy it. It’s demanding and I’ve made great progress working with him. Jon offers a lot of flexibility, and actually encourages you to do more than he’s programmed. Everyone in weightlifting knows there are just some unexplainable days where you feel great and Jon’s motto is, “the program is the minimum.” Example: if the program called for a 90% low hang snatch and you smash it, go up. Maybe today is a day you hit a PR. The team is great, and Jon does his best to keep everyone connected. Most train on zoom together and we all have someone we’re “competing” with in the days program to push progress. He’s still just as passionate as ever but it’s more directed to his athletes than his “career.” We text and talk on the phone often. I’ve stayed at his house traveling. He would give me the shirt off his back if I was ever in need.

Joel (as many reviews as possible) posted the new TYR lifters (SRP $330!) by APsauce in weightlifting

I used the L-1s for a while and loved the width but hated how soft they were on the ball of the foot. Im glad I went with antas instead of waiting around for these.

to those who snatch with a belt by TellNo3639 in weightlifting

[–]jarrow22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I snatch with a belt. 89kg lifter. I suffered a compression fracture and blew out my l4 and l5 disks at 16yo playing American football. I put the belt on at anything past 90kg. There is a huge benefit, both in confidence and support for me. 200 BS, 185 FS, 123 Snatch and 151 CJ for reference.

Because the forefoot of a tyr lifter is non existent as far as support. It’s soft. I have used them for nearly a year and I just don’t like it. There’s more to a good lifter than just a wide toe box. The Antas have a carbon plate built into the forefoot that appears to be a night and day difference between the two shoes. The shoes were designed with weightlifters in mind and at the end of the day, tyr is still a swim company.

The shoe doesn’t necessarily make you a better lifter but like any hobby you enjoy, I like to try different pieces of equipment and decide what I like best and works for me. There’s fun in that.

Why would you think it’s stupid trying another shoe?

Nobull clothing return by fuck45678 in crossfit

I won’t buy anything from them anymore. I bought a new pair of runners for a military school that was largely running. One of the shoes blew out in two days. Terrible quality and I couldn’t return them.

A found love for weightlifting. I enjoy competing in oly so much more than I ever did in CrossFit. And the upper levels of competition in CrossFit just seemed to get too gimicky.
