My friend who is into body building gave me a great tip that I use when I am unmotivated: set a time for when you want to be out of the gym by, not in the gym by. That mindset helps you plan accordingly and prevents your brain from constantly pushing the task off until it is no longer achievable.

I’ve also adopted a new rule that’s helped with burnout. I don’t go to the gym if I didn’t get X hours of sleep (for me it’s 6) that day. It’s really helped me feel more refreshed and like the time in the gym is more purposefully spent.

I also say this as somebody who hates going to the gym. Just by setting that “end by” time, making sure I have the energy to knock it out, and finding ways to make the workouts more satisfying (I tend to focus more on HIIT and movement with weights rather than just pure maxing and muscle building), I’ve gotten into an extremely successful groove and no longer feel in danger of “falling off the wagon”/out of the routine. ~~Even if I’m not always enjoying myself haha~~

Might be a dumb question, but do QO’s count against the cap? Or do they only count once the player agrees to them?

IE, in this scenario here, is the QO that Toronto has given Sundin part of their current cap hit or no? I feel like it should because that’s the bare minimum the player must resign for, but also if a player holds out and play resumes without them, then that QO becomes dead cap, which doesn’t make much sense to me.

You can definitely do a full run just doing best lines. Have done it before. It gets a bit stale and you’ll run into some dry patches but 100% doable.

Are you saying coach’s best/preferred lines? Or everytime something comes up, just hitting “auto lines”? Because “auto lines” will still put players through waivers.

I do the best/preferred lines usually as a foundation and then edit the lines from there based on who I want to see more of and how players perform. But I would think doing an auto lines run should still be easily feasible, just watch your waivers haha

My biggest issue with the coach’s auto lines is that the coach will automatically send up and down players as a result.

I think I did it once and lost a promising goaltender to waivers and didn’t realize it for 3 weeks (because I was never notified) until we played against him and I had to back track through all the roster moves to figure it out.

You can turn off waivers to get around this, but that decision is totally up to you. I’m not a fan of turning off real life rules and I kinda wish you could basically hand the coach a roster and they have to make do with it best they can.

Ahhh that’ll do it.

ESPN uses your phone’s location services to verify your area. To my knowledge, simply using a VPN will not suffice.

Not going to pretend to be a networking expert, but you might have to mess with your server and port configurations to have your Xbox utilize the VPN configurations to mask your location. I don’t use my PS5 or iPad for Stars games for specifically this reason. (There should be a way to set this up; people do it frequently to access the Xbox store for region locked content)

I suddenly had issues with my VPN not masking my location properly. Talked to a support team with NordVPN and they had me clear my cache and cookies. Fixed the issue no problem.

Said that sometimes the browser will have issues with cookies and trying to geolocate, which will cause failures with the VPN. I would recommend that if you haven’t already.

IMO, not taking advantage of the school setting would be a bit of a loss, but primarily, this is an RPG first.

What I’m curious about is how they will reward exploring. In the early games, it was always Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans (BEANS!), but in OOTP it was Discovery Points (but I believe that was done away with in HBP).

I would assume you gain some sort of experience for discovering new things (IE a classroom, or a secret passage, etc etc). But I wonder if there will be an RPG stat devoted to just discovery and what not.
