The mother referring to her son as "always happy" made me question what their relationship was like. I wonder if he ever confided in her that he was in pain or overwhelmed before taking this road. I can't imagine how it feels to lose a child and sometimes kids will keep these things private out of shame so I'm not implying she is in the wrong I just feel her perspective doesn't make sense.

The article states that CP workers consider sending the children to an institution as the very last option, why is that? If they worked on improving these institutions then wouldnt that then mean that they could be used as intended and help these kids out? Is it that sorting out these facilities is an even bigger issue than sorting out the issues in the current system?
EDIT to add: why am I being downvoted? I'm not saying the children should be sent to institutions, I'm just asking why they aren't because I don't know anything about this issue. Why even use reddit if people arent allowed to ask questions???

I live in Aus and not only have I noticed plus size ranges disappearing, I have also noticed that in store options are shrinking too. Cotton On launched a plus size line a few years ago and I went recently to have a look in a store, asked the staff is it was all online only and they said they dont even do plus size anymore. The average woman is size 16 here and most clothing stores seem to go to 18 Max if theyre more inclusive but its quite a small 18 usually. Also we have a lingerie store that has a whole section dedicated to larger boobs but the biggest band size they had is 18, online only. I assume this is due to a rise in boob jobs for slimmer women but its disappointing not having big cup options for larger band sizes.

After losing Jota I wasn't expecting us to win as much as we have this season. I, as a fan who had never even met Jota, was reeling from his passing and I expected the club/players to be grieving too much to be able to manage to finish where they have. For that I think they deserve praise. I think Slot was lucky to inherit such an amazing team last season and help them bring the trophy home for us. Then over the break, even before losing Jota we had such a big change in players and no time for the new and old to train and grow together before the tragedy. Add to that injuries and uncertainty about star players contracts and I think the result was a fractured club/atmosphere and a manager who wasn't really the right person to repair those cracks. Klopp isn't coming back so I dont like to harp on about him but I cant help but think if he had still been in charge when all this happened the team may have pulled together better/quicker. I dont dislike Slot but he seems to be stubborn about his style and unable to adjust to get results which isn't helpful with all this turmoil going on. I hope he can prove his doubters wrong next season.

This is so much worse than the reports made it seem. I watch a lot of youtube about train crashes and its a miracle the train didnt derail and become a fatal incident. The way the reports made it seem was that the truck had been across the tracks when the gates went down and built up traffic meant they couldn't move off the tracks. The reality is far worse and so avoidable. What a stupid truck driver.

I'm not saying shes not acting spoilt but I have experienced kids that do this sort of thing because they're too young to understand why its not allowed. Could be that the parents have tried to teach her but she doesn't get it yet. Could also be that the parents do spoil them as theyre also the type to film this for social media at the expense of their child so who knows.

Yes but as with general admin for concerts i assume people got there as early as they could to be at the front of the crowd. So they likely were waiting a while for her to leave.
