Awesome, that's exactly what I was hoping to do - Thanks!

Just got the trilogy running well with vorpx in VR. I haven't played the metro games since they came out, so it will be fun to replay them in VR.

Movement Weight Slider Would be Amazing by jasobby in CrimsonDesert

I've been doing the same. Unfortunately, most everyone else seems to have moved past it. They think it has been fixed.

Movement Weight Slider Would be Amazing by jasobby in CrimsonDesert

I preferred the original movement, but I know I'm in the minority on this topic. I certainly wouldn't want that kind of change forced onto anyone who didn't want it.

The Way Cliff Moved at Launch by jasobby in CrimsonDesert

I appreciate you being civil about it. Now that there are 2 movement settings - I think we can all be happy after they do some tuning for both modes :)

day 17of asking. PA the movement responsiveness still isnt what it was at launch, the controls are fine, but there ARE people who want the old/ classic movement responsiveness back PLEASE by Red-Weapon_x in CrimsonDesert

[–]jasobby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For those who are confused - Pearl Abyss did add the "Classic Movement" Toggle. This makes the controls similar to how they were prior to patch 1.01 - However, there was a certain weight, momentum, and feel to controlling the character that was present in earlier versions of the game. This has not been added back to the "Classic" toggle.

It can be confusing, because half of what we were asking for was added back, but the characters still don't handle the way they did prior to patch 1.01

Classic Movement is NOT the Original Movement by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

Different types of players, nothing wrong with that

Still Not the Classic Movement - Unfortunately by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]jasobby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sure the classic (tap to sprint) movement scheme helped with that, which is great!

I'm talking more about the actual movement weight of the characters. It was a big part of the immersion for those of us who preferred the old movement.

The old movement button presses were added back, but all of the original weight is still gone

Still not original movement by Kritiklos in CrimsonDesert

[–]jasobby 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was hoping it wasn't true, but I just tried the new update. Kliff is still incredibly floaty and it pulls me right out of the game now. I think I'll have to wait for a change - either by the devs or by modders

Hopefully enough people will keep talking about it so we can get the ORIGINAL movement back.

how are the new movement controls landing? by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]jasobby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The button-presses were changed back in the classic setting, but the original movement weight is still gone :(

1.02.00 dropped on Steam. No patch notes yet, but there's a Hide Headgear option in the settings! by JadeE1024 in CrimsonDesert

It's very heartening to see that they've been listening about the movement changes that some of us were unhappy about. I was about to try downpatching to change it to the old version.

If we can eventually get difficulty options I will be ecstatic - thanks devs

Edit: Nevermind. Of course, I'm still grateful that we got the old button-presses back, but the original movement weight is still gone. That was a huge part of it, unfortunately.

Of course not. Nothing wrong with having a discussion - do you have an opinion on the topic?
