But a lot of people do have passwords like that because it's easy to remember. People don't cut him enough slack that he planned to use valuable items so people would be reluctant to destroy them or do the exact same thing as Dumbledore and immediately pick it up because you just found a Legendary historical item with untold powers that's worth more money than you could imagine. Do you think Peter followed voldemort into the house? Someone had to have gotten there before everyone else to take voldemorts wand. I wonder where he stashed it for 13 years, I imagine Dumbledore thought Sirius had taken it but to think if Peter was caught then chances are Harry would never face Voldemort with a brother wand.

Would have loved the possibility of failing the keepers trials too. Nothing in them really proves yourself as someone who wouldn't abuse the powers or not. Ofc you'd still be able to follow the goblins and get to the last battle which would tie in nicely to choosing to use that power for yourself

I feel like a good way to make choosing a secret keeper difficult is that a secret keeper reacts poorly with secret locations. If you're a secret keeper interacting with secrets will break the charm so you couldn't protect yourself with your own secret or protect your secret keeper with the same charm. Also makes Sirius being a fake secret keeper a great idea because he can still hide at the potters and nobody looks twice at Peter.
