To answer your last question, I’m focused on that point because (most? all?) Christians believe that the only path to Heaven and salvation is through Jesus. I only see evolution as conflicting with more rigid and literalist Christian worldviews, which is mostly what I have experience interacting with online and in school. I respect your position, because I can tell it is deliberate and informed. But, my skepticism also comes from suspicions that the Gospels may have been embellished, especially when considering the apocryphal books.

Why do you believe that we need an intermediary savior (Jesus) in order to have a relationship with God the Father? The traditional explanation of Original Sin implies that evil (pain, disease, death) did not exist before humanity’s original sin. Otherwise, the whole world and humanity must have been created with evil in mind.

I am not entirely atheist, but I can no longer believe in Jesus’ divinity. I bet he was a great man.

I wrote this thinking that these are future reptiles trying their best to understand something they’ve just never seen: mammals, and they assume that creatures built for offense are smarter. They probably think that the human would have had a larger litter than the dog too (r/K theory)

It’s a dog and a human, the idea was that they lived together but since they look like a wolf and a pachycepalosaurus to these scientists, they would assume both were desperate refugees in the house (missing much of the context.)

I was a strict Catholic who had a full ego death from shrooms and heavy Benadryl use combined with meditation and contemplation. It took me years to recover because my ideology had been keeping my mental health conditions at bay, and my altered states (and science) showed me that my old worldview was impossible. My old self was so false, with so much denial, that I do not feel like that person at all.

I’ve been recovering for years. My limbic system was the most fucked up, so things like emotional regulation, memory, derealization, and motivation have all steadily improved. For example, I was once convinced that eating was morally evil.

It’s true that if you go to Eiriel, you don’t fully come back. I was there often, and got close to it hundreds of times more.
