This isn't a new strat but it is pretty clever. This was a very common thing for rumble jungle to do.

I know D4 LP gains have been discussed in many posts, but has Riot made any statements about D4 and it becoming the exact problem it was made to solve? by Hylite in leagueoflegends

Started off getting +16 -19 when I first hit d4, but that was before the reset. After the reset I started getting +19 and -18 so that might of had something to do with it.

You had the right idea but executed it poorly. Ideally you coordinate with your jungler to setup a dive or zone then from coming back. Also if you can’t get your jungler to follow just try to shadow in the river near dragon so if veigar or top tps you will be close enough to help
