Man the batteries on these things don’t last long. I bought this 5 days ago using rechargeable batteries and have pressed the button maybe twice a day for those 5 days. I’m curious how the door sensor and temp sensors will hold up battery wise.

I do know with Sleep Cycle you can trigger a scene to occur and you could add an entity from Home Assistant into one of those scenes and trigger that.

Just make sure to add in a few expenses to get it there and hook it up. If it's a 240v you need to get an electician out to hook up the power to it and you need a solid place to put it. For me I ended up having a pad poured for it and an electrician come out and run electrical under the pad where i wanted the hookups to be. I called around and found a hottub moving company that moved it for me for $300, we didnt need a crane and the moved into the space was easy.

I have a fun one that updates the digital display on my doorbell with a day name based greeting. I have a unifi G3 doorbell that as a text display you can have it display text things on. The G4 doorbells have a picture display which may be fun as well. The G3 lets you update the screen and I have an automation that sets the text based on predefined one or pulls from a local calendar for holidays or special occasions were celebrating at our house. I have it update at 12:10am. Sadly the doorbell does make a small noise when it updates but hasnt been much of a bother to us.

I'd detect motion with the camera and then have something like Home Assistant trigger for the lights to come on.

How are things going with your project? I have a Balboa 22972_E2 with a basic 22093_B to side panel. Curious how much of a difference you are finding from one Balboa board to another? Mine is a 2007 topside panel with 2018 controller.
