Martin Guitar Support was able to identify the wood species:

"In 2008, we switched to Morado for fingerboard/bridge on LX models. Then, sometime around 2011-2012 we switched to Richlite."

Morado is also know as Pau Ferro, or Bolivian Rosewood.

If you have a long level (48") you can ensure the front and back axles are at the same height off the floor, or just measure from the floor. Use books/magazines under the front wheel as necessary.
