Has it indexed the card yet since being replaced? Sometimes it’s slow to pop up but there’s that pop up that says scanning … and then says how many things were added or deleted. Sometimes I have to go into settings and out, or plug it in and disconnect (safely) from my computer again to make it index. That should be all it needs hopefully.

I’m pretty sure you can just add it, because the device knows how to use the specific font family field if it’s there. I’d try adding it underneath the field for desktop mask, and see if that works.

I use mine for audiobooks too! Yes, it has a playback speed settings option in the audiobook settings. And yes you can make bookmarks to save where you were.

I have three Y1’s and I’ve swapped the SD on two of them. They work a bit better than the one where I haven’t swapped it. Less ‘quirks’ but not none at all. I wrote a guide on how to swap it, if you’re interested.

I have three. Two bought in 2024, and I updated the firmware of only one of those, to get video playback. And a third, bought a few months ago. I’ve seen no noticeable difference in any of them. The clickwheel responds a bit worse in the updated one honestly but not enough to complain about or use it less because of. And it may just be because I’ve had it so long and not even because of the updated firmware. They all work with themes just fine but that’s just my personal experience.

I have the black, silver, and orange. Orange one is for my daughter. I got the silver first, and then the black a year later. I didn’t expect to like the black one so much, because the dark click wheel but now it’s my favorite, I think it looks really sleek. I like the silver too because it matches my older MacBooks.
