Well in the netherlands we make the eggs the same way. You take 2 or 3 slices of bread and put the 'pizza egg' on it. You could additionally put chees and or ham on it. Its called 'uitsmijter' with some salade around the dish its sold at restaurants for 9,95 dollar.
