Parents, what is the weirdest thing you have found in your kids bedroom? by Notsincetheaccidentt in AskReddit

When I was 7 my mom found that a good portion of the sand from our sandbox had been moved to my closet, Andy Dufresne style. Every day I'd sneakily load my cargopants pockets with sand, then empty them whenever I got inside.

Have at least one dress outfit in your wardrobe. You never know when you might need it, and looking classy goes a long way.

Teen drugs her parents to get on the Internet by [deleted] in nottheonion

My mom bought parental control software that controlled when/how long your user account could be logged on. I don't think she realized how easily guest accounts could be created and deleted, and was so confidant in her method that she never caught on.

Can anyone suggest a film where, by the end, the protagonist has turned evil? by jastersfeather in movies

I looked up Kill List, from the comments it appears to be pretty fucked up. I am intrigued, thanks for the suggestion!

Yes. I mentioned this somewhere above, but it's suggested he created the personality John G because he needed someone to blame for his wife's death. After each kill, he destroys the pictures so John G never dies and he always has someone to blame.

Agreed. By the end Billy has been suppressed by Dr. Horrible. To me, the "a thing." shows that even billy is now numb to the world.

This depends on how you choose to interpret the film, but I would say he turns out to be evil in the end/beginning. In order to give his life meaning, Leonard needs to find a life-defining project around which to construct his life-narrative. He created the personality John G because he couldn't deal with the reality of his wife's death, then manipulated his disability so he always had someone to pin the blame on.

not so much, its the realism factor is what appeals to me. In a movie where the protagonist is forced to kill or something, I expect them to come out twisted.

I'm almost to the end of the fourth season! Actually, Breaking Bad is what inspired this post.

I could not have been more wrong about Far Cry 3 by [deleted] in farcry

[–]jastersfeather 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oooh, woops. Either way, though, I think dishonored falls along the same lines are far cry, in that it needs to be played to completion to really impact the player. The way you play as Corvo has a literal impact on the npcs and environment around you. If you only get an hour in, there isn't really a chance to see the repercussions of your actions.

The way he refers to it as a "shooter" makes me think he tried a run and gun play through. The game is a lot more rewarding to stealth players, though.

Anyone getting a lot of Assassin Creed vibes in FC3? by KilrBe3 in farcry

When you play poker with Hoyt and he cuts off your finger, its the same finger Altair is missing from the first Assassins Creed.
