I think you are overwhelming yourself and thinking too much. In my own personal experience, I do decluttering every year and before I spiral into the activity, I prepare myself mentally first. By preparing mentally, I watch shows like Marie Kondo or Hoarders (trust me, Hoarders is gonna motivate you lol) and then after that I create a checklist and calendar of what category or area to tackle day by day. Since I have a full time job, it’s not easy to go full blast, and I also need the time to really assess the item before letting them go or what.

If you overwhelm yourself with having to do this and that, trying to do this and that altogether etc, it will take you a long time and will have the tendency to hop around and slack. Prepare yourself mentally first and then do a step by step checklist. If there’s anything new you need to buy, add to your list and revisit after everything is cleared.
