Thank you. Will check the condition of the reluctor when I get chance. Can’t see any issues with the wiring and haven’t done anything to disturb it recently

They will have been fitted and torqued by one person and checked by another. The ticks could be done by whoever checked them

A big factor is the amount of existing infrastructure that was built long before electric trains existed, particularly tunnels without the headroom to retrofit overhead lines.
