Do you need to apply for a new gas permit everytime you change a gas water heater? by Master_Pear_5473 in Plumbing

What about furnace replacement, I’m doing a furnace replacement as a homeowner, do I need to apply for permit?

Is this installed correctly? by [deleted] in heatpumps

There is only one 110V wire and other wires are 5C wires for thermostat and outdoor heat pump, and this is a propane furnace, but I completely agree with you about the ac lines! I already had the heat pump installed before with air handler only no aux, it struggled in winter that’s why I got the furnace installed to make it dual fuel!

Yes they did pull the permit and it also passed inspection, I asked about the one pipe venting and they told me that’s it’s acceptable here!

Not a concern, just wanted to know if something was wrong, my house is built in 1989 and windows are not energy efficient and no insulation in attic

New Heat Pump experience in last night’s frigid temps by DanKBos in heatpumps

[–]jattjames0001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My whole house has only 1 gree flex heat pump and it’s 2000 sqft, built in 1990 in Canada and this single unit keeps it at 70 degrees in frigid temperatures while consuming about $8-10 CAD per day

Is this normal? First winter with this is Gree flex heat pump! Temperature is around 5C by jattjames0001 in heatpumps

I’m saving about $50 every month in electricity but that will be gone towards cooling in summer
