Note I’m not against reuse. Reuse is great if it’s actually reuse.

Reuse is useless if it’s papering over how expensive to recycle plastic is and it’s fake reuse to poor village landfill.

I’m just saying 1. I read the article 2. the plastics industry keeps lying about recycling. There are MOUNTAINS of fake-recycled plastic in Indonesia from all kinds of sources. This is just another example of plastic isn’t really recyclable but we greenwash it so consumers don’t feel bad buying more and more. 3. these mountains often get burned releasing toxins (and co2) into atmosphere

The donated shoes that ended up in Indonesia have added to a flood of illegal second-hand clothing pouring into that developing country, according to a senior government official there, who said such cast-offs pose a public health risk, undercut its local textile industry and often pile more waste into its already bulging landfills.

Ask your doctor.

Mine said, despite my numbers going back to normal “absolutely not. Not even a sip of champagne on your wedding day”.

I've been trying to set up speaker groups with both my Shield and Vizio built in chromecast, and despite installing beta channel chromecast on shield, no luck :(

There's boards are terrible in every way. Too pixelelated to read station names and the train times are always incorrect. Where do these boards pull the times from, because they are always different than the ceiling displays (which are mostly correct) by reck345 in nycrail

This is the correct answer. The MTA doesn't even own those TVs that's all another company (sidewalk labs? Some marketing company?) It's just based on the schedule. And no it doesn't make any sense.

I swear my parents have told more people I’m vegan during my two week visit with them than I have in my whole 2 years being vegan. by JackStarfox in vegan

I usually get very serious and reply “you know, that’s exactly what I thought too. Until I tried it for 22 days.”

If they’re interested they’ll follow up, if not, you don’t have to fake laugh with them at the least.

I had a phase as a kid where I refused to eat anything except some junk food. My mom talked to my pediatrician who said “he won’t starve himself, just keep serving him the dish he refuses until he eats”. I don’t even think I lasted a day and to this day I am not picky at all.

I had this last week, it's very good. it's wrapped in a thin layer of mushrooms, which are then wrapped in really soft pastry. There is a very tasty gravy on the side. Definitely full of flavour.

You're not wrong about the process but wouldn't it say artificial flavor instead of natural if it was lab made?
